Are we talking about a friend killing contest or who can finish themselves off in the bathroom faster?
Tough one to call tbh
A focused JR is a force to be reckoned with. Imo he's stronger than Kobe and when focused a better shooter. I take JR

JR never had a season with a negative WS/48 so I'll take him
Wtf
One on one basketball
Kobe Bryant 6' 6", 205 lbs
J. R. Smith 6' 6", 220 lbs
Whoever is on a hot streak? Neither would defend the other well enough.
Agree. But as I said due to the slightly better strength and slightly more efficient candela shot..i think JR might be the slight better choice
Don't get me wrong. Prime Kobe is miles ahead JR in passing team D and overall IQ. But on a one on one those things are moot
Kobe's one on one during his prime was some of the best in the league. He took the moves from Mike who would destroy them both one on one.
Regardless, one on one isn't really basketball. It's "miss first" ball.
I agree
Kobe would win...come on now. I hate the guy just as much as the next but J.R. Smith? That's not even a troll job...![]()
What was that thug looking from the Spurs that Kobe was always ting on....Kobe used to light this chump up so much so he wanted to fight Kobe
Stephen Jackson was his name![]()
Depends who gets the ball first. JR Smith could score 10 straight long jumpers if he could get the ball first. Kobe would pumpfake JR out of his shoes for 10 straight points.
The strength/weight advantage for JR means virtually nothing to me. He rarely uses it ever as an advantage. He just shoots 40 foot jumpers all day long. He'd do the same in a game of one-on-one.
You do realize you can change your post before hitting the "post quick reply" button, right? Why ask a question then answer it in the same post?
I'm sure a lot of dudes would beat Kobe one on one, and yes it depends on who has the ball first etc.
Like Jam said, it's not like JR has a post game(that I know of) so his weight wouldn't factor in that much. I suppose it could help him when defending Kobe in the post... but Kobe's game is more suited to one on one basketball and would do well for him in one on one situations where there's no help defense. Kobe's post ups are more reliable than a JR step back..but otoh if JR is hot from 3, and he starts hitting those wild step back 35 footers, it might be over quick.
Cuz I know it wll irritate fat slobs
Smith:::it's just about time to say "goodbye"---this is it. If this don't work out to 4 victories he's back to inciting to riot, MD 20-20, & open mayhem.
Troll job. Prime Kobe would tear JR up. He'd lock him down too.
there was a point in Kobe's career that anytime he had a one on one fast break he would be automatic. weak troll job
Don't be so sure tbh
Funny, it's not until these ass clowns start acting like professional ballers that they ever win anything, often as a role player. Some cannot decide if they are ballers or entertainers, ing circus side shows.
i take JR too....
