It's a rampage.
I haven't played GTA V yet, but I'm guessing it doesn't have the graphic kill moves like what was in the trailer? Also, there isn't a point in the game where it has you go on a killing spree for the sake of a mission, is there?

Apparently hyperthreading really does make a significant difference in Crysis 3. 10 fps difference between a 4690k and a 4770k at the same 3.7GHz clock (GPU is 780Ti)

Crysis 3, like its predecessor Crysis (2007), will probably be a stalwart of benchmarking suites for years to come. It is a fantastic game engine, and it’s actually quite efficient if you consider what it’s rendering. But easy on dual-cores it is not, and the Pentium simply gets demolished in this test. The game flat out isn’t playable. And while Hyperthreading provides a huge boost to the Core i3, it still isn’t able to conjure up enough processing power to get over the hump in this game. The Core i5 and its near-twin the Core i7-4770K without Hyperthreading perform similarly in this game, suggesting that the extra 1MB of cache on the 4770K makes no difference. What does make a difference, though, is Hyperthreading, which provides a much bigger boost in this game to the 4770K than even the 4790K's extra 500MHz of core clock.
Crysis 3, the oldest game in our benchmark suite, is ironically the clearast example of the potential of Hyperthreading. Unfortunately, besides the older Crysis 2, no other major PC game uses its advanced game engine, CryEngine 3, and as evidenced by the rest of our benchmarks, Crysis 3 stands alone in truly harnessing the power of Intel’s potent Hyperthreading technology.

But then look how little CPU matters in other games
Almost makes it seem like gamers should be choosing between i3 and i7/Xeon instead of all flocking to the i5s.
Never realized Haswell i3s were such awesome gaming CPUs.
Quad core is pretty standard right now, I wouldn't get an i3.
I already have an i5-4590, but those benchmarks make it look like it's not the best value tbh. Makes me think I should have bought a Xeon E3-1231v3 to kill everything for $55 more, or an i3-4160 to be awesome in everything but Crysis 3 for $80 less. Those benchmarks make it seem like the third and fourth threads aren't doing a whole lot of work in most games.
Well, so much for that idea. Puget Systems got patent trolled and now they don't offer those cases anymore.

Unfortunately our mineral oil aquarium PC kit project has come under fire by LiquidCool Solutions, who holds several patents related to mineral oil cooling of PCs. Their issue with our project is in claims 1 and 9 of US Patent 7403392 and claim 24 of US Patent 7911782. Funny enough, Puget Systems was actually cited in their patents as previous work.
Here at Puget Systems, this project has never been motivated by profits. It is a project that we have had a lot of fun with, and that we enjoyed using to enable the enthusiast community to do new and interesting things. As such, regardless of how we feel about the validity of this patent pressure, we cannot devote the time, finances and energy to take up that battle. We have a very successful business manufacturing high performance and high quality PCs and workstations, and will be focusing our energy there going forward. We will continue to host information, photography, and videos about our mineral oil PC kits, but we will be unable to continue to sell the kits themselves. We look forward to seeing what you all come up with as we pass off the torch to each of you!

Would have been more useful, as when I got it the throw in was World of Tanks. I hate MMOs so I gave it away. On Black Friday those ers had the i5-4690k for the same price I paid for my i5-4590.
Sick twin stick shooter.. nice graphics, a load of gore. Plenty of environmental destruction.. Get this if you like the stick stick shooter genre and/or extremely violent games, and you're not a got.

I have a ton of games I want to play still. Mainly Far Cry 3 and the Metro series, and I'll have to check the hype on Witcher 3 once Nvidia fixes their drivers. AC Black Flag and Rogue look pretty good too. Playing GTA V still for the last month or so.
Witcher 2 is pretty badass once you get past the intro.. it's got a pretty solid story so far, good voice acting. Only gripe is lack of gore and decaps and .
Does it start to look good graphically eventually? Game looks like in the first 15 minutes before I got bored with it.
I feel you.. I thought the exact same .. The opening memory levels don't really draw you in at all.. they are over saturated, and the AA without Ubersampling on is still kinda jaggy.. I turned on FXAA in the control panel, and the blurriness that it adds actually made the game look a little better.
The first actual stage is a forest that has a much better color palette, and takes great advantage of heavy sun shafts and sunsets.. The game also has a deep skill tree, a load of weapons and attire options, and the combat gets way better. The devs really ed themselves by not showcasing what it had to offer quicker, cause' I installed like a year ago and just decided to give it a try out of boredom.
I'm gonna play through this and bootleg the Witcher 3 after.
Nvidia's new driver just came out today and fixes the crashes in Chrome supposedly, so I can have good Witcher 3 performance without the crashes now. Still, I think Far Cry 3 is next on my list after I finish GTA V. I'll give Witcher 2 a second chance on your recommendation.

That looks boring as . Leave the crap indie games for people like CH on inferior AMD hardware.
Still, that video I posted from TotalBiscuit is pretty funny when he talks about how butthurt the media got over this game, and yet no one gives Netflix for having The Human Centipede and other movies way more graphic than this game.
