C'mon Mitch, the Lakers are in that same category with the Magic and Kings right now. The Timberwolves are in their own category of fail.
Can't blame him at all. Teams like the Hornets, Magic and Kings are pretty bad for rookies who need development. It's basically throwing away several years of your career...

Not quite true, Bum.
Players here have opportunity to become marketable and a part of something much larger than a small market team. There's a reason why no kid will shed a tear if they are drafted to the Knicks, Lakers or Bulls.
Lakerfan really doesn't want Towns? Why?
If you're a 7fter and you can't average 10 points in college or 10 boards then you are a bust waiting to happen.
Towns only averaged 21 minutes a game and 6+ rebounds. Increase his minutes and his rebounds will go up.

College career[edit]
In his freshman year, Kentucky used a unique "platoon system" that limited the minutes of each player. Regardless, Towns is widely projected to be picked as a top selection of the lottery of the 2015 NBA draft.[10] Towns is studying kinesiology, and hopes to become a doctor after his basketball career.[11]
He has a chance of becoming a great doctor one day.
Glad you posted they limited his minutes.
Up 3-2, and headin' for the house.
Now, NOW, now,,,you should be landing in California.
tee, hee.
They say Randle doesn't have a mid-range. He only shot five jumpers his freshman year. He made all five.
Towns is by far the best player in the draft,if the Pups take Okafor first.
If I'm Chaz, I trade down and grab WCS plus an asset. He'll be the 2nd best player in this draft.
Okafor is a bust.
Yeah right, got.
You should be tuning into Staples instead of Oracle.
I like Towns. Spoiled fans just have no patience for player development...
Agreed. His numbers would have been much better had he went to another school. I mean, the only NBA team with a taller front line than UK was Portland. It seemed like they were playing middle school teams most of the time. And UK was stacked. My theories:
1) More minutes = better numbers. Calipari didn't let him play as much because they were stacked. Okafor played way more minutes and seemingly had better numbers.
2) Because of their size, teams shot a lot of 3s against UK. 3ball misses lead to long rebounds. If he's in the paint, how is he going to get long rebounds? It's hard tbh.
It is well do ented that his defense is way better than Okafor's. What I didn't know about was his feathery touch:
Not bad for a 7 footer - who might still be growing. Can you imagine what KAJ could do with this 19 year old kid?He turned Baby Drew into an All Star - IJS.
I'm still torn. I like KAT and Okafor. I'd settle for either one tbh. And I'm more than willing to see him develop along with Randle for the next decade.
o, DMC, this............is your life.
It wasn't funny the first time either. Maybe after time 150 it might grow on me.
As long as one of 'em don't beat the other flat,,,I'll get there.
