Thank you 2013-14 Spurs for showing the world how beautiful the game can be when played with class and sharing.
We called the death of the ISO, tbh..
people are overstating this ISO vs team thing. most teams mix both, its just that carmelo's team sucks and he is a loser, kobe is old, okc had injury issues, wade isn't a top20 player and the only case where I see iso being problematic is Kyrie and Lebron dribbling the ball for 15 seconds ignoring the coach calls
The teams mentioned don't play both. They play iso ball until iso man is swarmed at which time iso man gives it up, often to the other team. Ball movement starts with ball movement, not with isolation plays and bailout, fake ass ball movement.
Why is this funny? The most successful teams of the past few years(Warriors, Spurs, Heat, Clippers) aren't ISO teams..that's the death of ISO-ball, you moron..
Of course there are still ISO teams, who denied that? There are still a ton of terrible coaches in the league..
the Clippers aren't an ISO team?.
right. Because Jamal Crawford going ISO and chucking up shots is beautiful basketball.
And it's funny because you on another era for ISOball but can't name more than 2 real teams with excellent ball movement in today's era![]()
Do you thinkBlatt is a terrible coach?
Blatt isn't the Cavs coach..Lebron is a pretty bad coach, though..
Jamal Crawford isn't even a starter and barely made any impact for the Clippers this year
Just among playoff teams, Hawks, Celtics, Mavs, Cavs prior to Love's injury, Warriors, Clippers, Blazers, Spurs, occasionally the Raptors and Wizards(playoffs when Pierce moved to the 4) all utilize nice ball movement, actually..
Actually, before Love got hurt the Cavs ran the highest percentage of ISO plays in the league

As far as the Clippers go, their offense comes down to Paul and Griffin Isos, especially Griffin postups.
The Celtics don't have any stars, and they lost to the ISOball Cavs. Atlanta lost to the ISOball Cavs. Andthe Raptors and Wizards are ty. And how far did the Mavs get?
Clippers got beat by ISOball Josh Smith![]()
- That article is from February, Cavs' offense progressively improved as the season went along and they hit their stride once Love was implemented better in the Bosh role
- Clippers weren't even a top 10 ISO team in the NBA, they haven't been in years..Alvin Gentry played a huge part in designing their system(current Warriors' lead assistant) and Rivers himself has acknowledged their plan to change their style(a few years ago)
- You're criticizing those teams because of how far they went, yet you're going to ignore that the last 3 NBA champions(Warriors, Spurs, Heat) were all progressive teams? Idiot
Even if I ignore your poor arguments, regardless of the number of teams you want to discuss, the fact is that the last 3 champs have been the Warriors, Spurs, and the pace&space Heat that were actually worse when Wade was on the floor(which further speaks to the argument)..
Not only did they win, but the Warriors are one of the 3-5 most dominant teams of all-time, and the 2014 Spurs' had the highest point disparity in playoffs history..just straight dominance and destruction that has revolutionized the league..
Now you are changing the goddamn goalposts. Not surprising. Cavs were and still are an isolation team. ISO is still prevalent in the league. Now suck my![]()
