We know there are molecules that can self replicate using energy and material from the surrounding environment, but the evolution of the first cells... No one has done this in a test tube. And then eukaryotic cells took a really long time to evolve from bacteria, and it's not clear why. These are legit fascinating questions that I refuse to say they just came, poof! That's giving up. That's not science.

They ( bugs) knew to reproduce? We can make RNA self replicate in a test tube and it does not "know" . Not only will it reproduce, You can see natural selection occur in a test tube by having a contest between differing RNA strands. And they don't "know" . This is a very insightful fact that natural selection even occurs on the molecular level. It's fantastic stuff. I'm really sorry you don't get it.
