Thing is, the Cavs do not need to rush. Lebron knows it's a process, even said it in his statement. "It will take time". Love and his white ass can force Minny to trade him to Cleveland before the deadline or simply wait next season. Moving capspace and all is easy work in Cleveland's case, since they have TONS of assets in rookie pay scale. You don't give up on Wiggins especially with a great player like Lebron who can maximize his potential and make his transition a easier.

Cavs are screwed either way but I'd rather have Wiggins in this series than Kevin Love in the sidelines.

But the thing is as great as many of the moves James and his "team" have orchestrated behind the scenes this this SITE was almost unanimously against the trade of Wiggins for Love. They could have sent Bennett, Tristan thompson, Waiters and the Miami pick and one of the first they sent for Mozgoff. All else being equal even if they lose Kyrie, Love Verejao etc. having Another scorer would be huge. LeBron has shown he hasnt needed much but would Wiggins benefit from being a stand-up shooter as LeBron ball dominates is another question.

Like I have said all along talent will find itself to Cleveland there will be people who for the next few years will be happy to ride his coat-tails.

Wiggins may be more important for defensive purpose than for offense. He hasn't really shown much this year on defense, but I felt it was mostly due to the system and what he's being asked to do. He has the athleticism, the length, and the instincts to be a great wing defender.

If he spent a year with the Cavs, and get to work under Blatt, he may have improved on defense enough that the Cavs can stick Wiggins on Curry or Thompson.

On offense, he is highly inefficient, but I doubt he'd be any worse than JR Smith.

True but Cavs have defended well sans Wiggins. The biggest issue is late when they need someone, anyone to alleviate pressure from James no one can be counted on ...

The Cavs are gassed. Short bench with that style of play is not a good combination. They rely on hustle to contain the Warriors, but once they are tired, once they lose that split second in reaction and speed, the Warriors will shoot an open shot.

The Cavs aren't really defending overly well in the fourth quarter. GSW scored the most points in the 4th in 3 of the 5 games, and the other two games were Game 1 and Game 4 (blowout).

As for another creator, I don't think Wiggins can be that guy. JR Smith was supposed to be, but we all know what Smith is capable of. If Lebron had somebody on the caliber of Thompson on his squad, the Cavs would have already won this thing, which really speaks to how ridiculously good Lebron is.

I agree they are gassed, even Lebron which is amazing he could hit the 3's he hit late because it was obvious he was exhausted. And yes the Cavs are being taxed by their short bench and no Wiggins is nnot a creator but Kyrie wasnt doing much of that either. he was scoring but even that he is better at than wiggins but wiggins could make them pay for doubling and is a better finisher than anyone the Cavs have. Just having someone else score even if they cannot create would help James a ton.But that is spilt milk ...what would you do if you were Blatt?

No one could have predicted Love being hurt. While he struggled to adapt, he was a net positive & no question would help vs GS. It's crazy to say but I definitely think GS loses if Kyrie & Love are healthy & no one cares about Wiggins then.

Honestly, there is very little the Cavs can do now.

I'd say stick a man on Curry and run sort of a 1-3-1 half court pressure zone, let the other guys score 40 points each if it may, but use the zone to contain shooters and control the boards. It's a gimmicky thing, but it can work in short spurts, especially when the players are gassed in the 4th.

As much as people like to talk about the Warriors offense, Curry is still their only superstar level creator. Thompson can create, but he is inconsistent and game to game. Draymond Green is mostly a recipient, Iguodala used to be great, but he is no longer an elite level creator. Bogut has been (surprisingly for me) useless this series, and Barnes has been a monumental embarrassment in a couple of the key games. Bottle up Curry, and you have a chance.

On offense, Mozgov Lebron PnR should be every single play.

Lebron should've know that he wasn't getting a full season and playoffs out of irving. Shame on him tbh.
