Euro gots wouldn't allow real football to be in the Olympics because we'd whoop their ass every single time.

Meh not enough interest in the world for handegg. The interest from the world together probably can't get 11 players to form up a team. Maybe it could be US vs Canada at the most.

Honestly I'd pay to watch the controversy that follows whatever roster(US) decisions are made.

There'd be ing about how player x deserved it more than player y. Also, the owners would likely bout players being at injury risk while not making any money for them. It'd be complete chaos.

Football, Billiards, and Karate should definitely be in there.

For football, send college players though.

    HA! American Football.

I can see it as America does want to expand the Football market internationally. But seriously, the score would be like 49-7 every game for the US. Might as well give them the gold medal. Being that, there is no way the put this as an Olympic event.

You guys really think the US would be able to get Pros or even college players to sign up? Honestly it's not worth the risk. No money in the the Olympics, they'd be sending everyday joes or players who didn't make the cut during training camp.

Not really the rest of the world can't afford to play football. Football can only work in America due to the abundance of food that is available in America. Look at all these countries especially third world they are not going to have diet necessary to produce guys who can play football. Also its an expensive sport to play for the rest of the world when you factor in how much the equipment costs. Factor these two things together is a reason why football will never be an Olympic sport.

    Oh its simpler than that.

Football along with baseball are niche sports. They will never be accepted by the world because they are boring to watch. Sure football has a lot of strategizing and some of the athletes are some of the best in the world. But its still a niche sport built for tv and commercials not for compe ion.

It's no coincidence that most of the superbawl viewers just tune in to see the commercials and not the actual game

People from some countries are genetically taller and stronger than any american, like the Balkan area. And are far smarter than those re ed gorillas of 'murican foolsball. Uh, Rubgy is far popular around the world than 'murican foollsball'.

shouldn't it be in the winter olympics anyway?

Plus it'd be impossible to schedule compe ively, summer or winter, olympics only last a couple weeks.
