Interesting trend the last two Final's mvps did were not all-stars in the year they won the award. I wonder if this streak will continue next year.

Not sure on final numbers but:
Jake Fischer @JakeLFischer
Andre Iguodala took the Finals MVP with a 7-4 vote over LeBron James. No votes for Stephen Curry.
Exactly.. its long overdue. Giving a Finals MVP award to scrub like Iguodala just cheapens the award.
yeah man, he fought his heart out
imagine they actually called out Lebron from the locker room LOOOL
That's how hockey does it. Of course, this year, it'd be a J.S. Gigučre situation with LeBron winning it, and fans would get butthurt.
Or giving it to a guy like Enrique over Timothy Duncan.
coulda gone either way tbh... i wasnt that surprised. curry is obviously their best player, but iggy stepped up and was a difference maker. the same reason why i think green woulda won FMVP if we won in '13
Apparently they polled the voters after game 6 and Duncan would have won it IIRC
voters and their short term memory tbh... duncan was only great in games 1 and 6 to that point, while green was big in each of the first 5 games
Guy who can't shoot ft for . Went 2-13 or something wins MVP? That's bs sons
Just like I said in another thread, only the greatest players deserve to bag double honors (MVP and FMVP) in the same season. Curry had a great season and great finals series, and he's definitely more deserving of it than Iggy, but the league intentionally snubbed him because they think he's still one or two tiers below the likes of Duncan and Lebron imho.
Disagree on Curry having GREAT finals
Of all the series not to use the hack-a strategy...get in his head, break his rhythm, disrupt the GSW offense, rest Lebron in game while the freethrows are shot, make Kerr take him out. Dude was killing the cavs on both sides of the floor.
I meant 90s type player
Curry maybe should have won it, but I dont mind Iggy winning it. He was the most consistent player on both sides of the ball.
no agenda... iggy just more important all around in the whole series compared to curry.
Curry game 1: 10 for 20fg
game 2: 5 for 23fg
game 3: 10 for 20fg
game 4: 8 for 17fg
game 5: 13 for 23fg
game 6: 8 for 19fg
who did he guard? nobody
nba made a mistake in 07, cant repeat that again...
iggy winning fmvp
and yet fkn clowns think draymond shouldve won dpoy...dude was nowhere to be seen in this series
lol currys face not winning fmvp, just like that other pos last seasons finals
Curry.....all he does is shoot terrible ing shots(half of which go in) while his team bails him out on defense. That roster is ing loaded and they didn't play a healthy, solid team at any point in the playoffs. And iguodala hit all the big shots in all the big moments in the finals while playing defense as well. Good , tbh....
You forgot .388 3PT and .885 FT. Batting averages aren't be-all end-all.
