Why do you place a borderline Top 10 player in the same company as unanimous Top 5 players?
This had a terrible performance in the finals, but he definitely stepped it up for the post game
For those that don't get it, Lebron said he was the best player in the world (obviously true but arrogant statement) last week after game 4. Just an FYI, he's the only elite player to ever do that. MJ, Magic, Kobe, TD...none of them have ever said during the finals that they are the best player in the world.
(Lebron's comment last week)
Why do you place a borderline Top 10 player in the same company as unanimous Top 5 players?
Is the OP going to continue flip flopping between the Al-Quobe and the Kobe hate wagon like the pinoy got that he is?
Yup, elite players don't say stupid things like that:

Dude get over it already, everyone in mainstream media and all the fans already consider Kobe a top 10 of all time. It's not even up for debate. in Jerry West is considered a top 10 FFS...Jerry West!! 1 time champion who prolly couldn't hang with any of the players in todays game
No one in real life is going to say,"Man I dunno if Kobe is a top 5 because most people on Spurstalk don't think so."
There are at least 17 players who are without question top 10 players of all time.
MJ, Kareem, Bird, Magic, Duncan, Hakeem, LeBron are without question, imo. that's 7
- some people rank the ancient giants differently. some have russell/wilt both top 2, some dont rank them very high at all, based on compe ion
- shaq, kobe, oscar also have valid cases
All the media outlets and major blogs don't have Kobe in the top 5 and a lot don't even have him in the top 10. You are pretty much exposing yourself right now as a Kobe sucker.
I didnt say top 5, I dont even have him top 5. He's definitely somewhere from 8-10.
Oh and as far as mainstream media goes here you go got:
Fox sports: Kobe #8 http://www.foxsports.com/nba/lists/T...photo=30219332
SLAM Magazine: Kobe #10 http://www.basketball-reference.com/..._greatest.html
Sports Illustrated: #8 all time
Theses are only two I found within 1 minute of searching.
Best team in the world yet they couldn't sweep a depleted cavs team. Lol!
Btw, curry the best player in the world? Lmao! There's 2 sides to the court and he only plays 1 side.
B-B-But as time goes on and the analytic nerds take over the media ... Kobe will be ranked outside of the top 50 ...
Again I dont care though I am focused on the draft. we really need to be smart and get lucky.
Dude always hates on Kirby during the regular season, then his inner Kobe comes out and he starts talking tough during lottery season.
you are being too generous to kobe.
I don't have to deal with them too much, but you just gotta shake your head to those people that win and don't know when to shut up.
Okafor, Russell or Towns. What should Mitch do?
Okafor is my preference, Chaz wants the tall white guy who shoots 3's though so get used to Adam Morison 2.0
I got it on a good word we're drafting Russell...
Sure, LeBron shouldn't have spouted. But he manned up and shook hands and congratulated Curry and co.
What a weak assed comment by Thompson.
BTW what does Curry mumble back?
It'll be Okafor, KAM, unless Chaz has a word with Buss.
I'm down with Okafor too. He gotta be the pick.
Okafer has the unique name that falls in line with the tradition of great Laker bigs with unique names
Curry is fine, but the superpowers were absent, someone will win, always does.
^^ Seems to be a factual comment referring to most points scored in an NBA game.
Wilt 100
Kobe 81
Jordan 69

Then David Thompson should be third and David Robinson fourth.
Learn your history before spouting off nonsense.
