Exactly. This is exactly what I said could be the best news for the Spurs concerning Parker. The past is the past. The best thing would be for him to following Duncan's workout regiment and nutrition and get back into playing shape.

After that, Pop and co. can focus on changing Parker's game into more of a passing game. And if he wants to play 5 more years, he'll have to do just that or he will be Kobe getting injury after injury.

This is a good thing if it's true. Players say this sort of all the time, doesn't make it true, but if Tony can come back at least fit and healthy, he is going to be a good player for the Spurs. I don't ever expect 2013 Parker but if he is at least healthy then I have no doubt he will have a decidedly better season than last.
