Maybe UT said "no" to letting him out of his LOI.
More from OL Denzel Okafor of Lewisville after his unofficial visit to Texas earlier this week (24/7):
“Coach Strong sat down with me and my dad,” Okafor said. “He told us that he’s not just going to treat me as an athlete. He wants to treat me as a son. He’s going to make sure my grades come first. He wants me to hit the books and make sure I take care of business on the field. I really liked what he had to say.”
“Coach Wickline said that I can play guard or tackle and that he wants to work hard,” Okafor said. “He told me it’s possible to start as a true freshman, which is big for me. He said Connor Williams has a chance to do it this year, so that would be motivation for me if I do go to Texas.”
“Right now it’s kind of iffy between Texas and TCU,” Okafor said. “I really like both programs. With Texas, I really like the academics. I also like how they run the program. It seems like a great place.”

It's hard to believe we're getting so badly crushed in football recruiting. Strong finished strong (no pun) last year in recruiting though, so maybe he can turn things around again. With the quality class we got last year, it's shocking we didn't seem to get much momentum, at least yet, from that for this year.
I've found that a bad season doesn't usually affect the senior high school prospects but it has a huge affect on the juniors. What you are seeing is the result of senior to be looking closely at last season and looking elsewhere.
He was never coming to Texas. If anyone should be disappointed, its the Aggies. They felt pretty good about him.

Per Inside Texas, UT has offered JUCO WR Ryan Parker of Tyler J.C.
He is originally from Keller and signed with TCU out of high school. Currently pledged to OU:

I believe a poster on Shaggy mentioned this yesterday and I never heard another peep about it. Nice offer.
Dalton told his dad that the staff has pretty much given up on him, but they didn't want to let him off the hook to keep from setting a precedence.
That is a smart thing to do, no need in giving others the idea that they can sign with Texas and have second thoughts.
His parents will be with him, per Scout.

24/7 saying DT Jordan Elliott of Houston Westside has made it to campus.
The other visitors are expected to arrive tomorrow.

Sorry, but that's one deformed quarterback trophy - the hands and arms are bigger than the legs and feet.
The more I see stuff like this, the I think Miles might not be there beyond this season. If that is the case all these Texas kids might be in play again.
I see ESPN has them pre-season #4, I'm guessing they are going to have a disappointing season. If that is the case, Les might start to feel a very hot seat.
These are such brazenly stupid events it seems as if these kids wanted out. The kid in the parking lot incident is just a thug. It's really easy to find trouble in Baton Rouge and NO if you want to. Walk a few blocks off campus,or a little road trip to the big easy and bad is waiting asking if you want to participate.
Miles needs a lock down facility.
Looks like Johnny Money.
No, it is pretty awful, I thought it was some sort of bobble head gone bad.
Looks like Juanito Manziel to me.
Les is a guy I'm watching for sure.
