That was actually a good read. Thanks for sharing.
That said, I still find it immensely hilarious how reactionary, southern Whites turn red in the face from the sight of a black man ruling over them.![]()
So accurate.

Looking back 25 - 30 years, it's OBVIOUS that the Repugs have moved way to right, with tea bagger extremist tail now in both chambers wagging the Repug dogs.
Gingrich shutting down the govt
Repugs witch hunting the Clintons for 8+ years in the '90s, culminating in the Repug House impeaching Clinton.
Obstructing EVERYTHING the Dems have tried since Jan 2009. Compromise is not what REAL REPUG (wannabe) MEN ever do.
Right-wing hate media, esp Fox Repug Propaganda and LYING network. 10 years ago, the Repug bowed down to, FEARED crossing drug addict Limbaugh.
There's simply NO EQUIVALENT on the Dem side to Repug extremists
The Repugs' strategical points of god/gays/guns/immigrants/abortion/racism/jingoism/dismembered fetuses/blind ideology is meant to, and does, inflame their extremist base, increase its intensity and YELLING, and drive it even further to the extreme, cutting its base off from pragmatic, negotiable political progress.
Can you give me specific examples. Because I see tea-party types desperate to promote blacks to the head of their causes in an attempt to negate the racist narratives the left tries to paint.
ter McGee
You understand you just provided an example of southern whites being reactionary, don't you?
Repug blacks are just a ed up as all you Repugs and your politicians.
Y'all ain't foolin' no blacks, reachin out to black voters with Uncle Toms.
As dubya so beautifully exposed standing before the NAACP, "I value the black VOTE" (not black people).
Name some tea bagger policies that HELP black people!( It's a trap! )
Yeah...there are some of those boneheads out there. , I live in Texas. But, as vociferous and exposed as they are, they are vastly over reported. Despite appearances, they are in the minority IMO.
tea-bagger has become a racist slur for whites, racist. just know that we see you and your kind and when finally hits the fan look out.
You understand you missed the point, don't you?
Are you ter?
I didnt miss any point. Finding a couple of black people to carry the tea party message in an effort to show how non-racists the tea party is after being accused of racism is reactionary. Feel free to tell me the point I missed.
Uh, no. He posted....I posted. Nice to know I'm not reactionary these days.![]()
Adaptation, restructurization, evolution, growth....these are reactionary responses.
Ahh. Yes. The big tent we love to compromise message of the tea party
OP has a point. The GOP has swung so far right that they have nominated the likes of McCain and Romney the last two elections and will probably go for Jeb Bush this time around.
They tea baggers know they can't elect know they can't elect an extremist like Walker or Krazy Kruz as Pres, so they go with losers like McLiar and Bishop Gekko. They and their VRWC funders, ALEC, SPN concentrate on the Congress and the states.
So you saying the tea party hasn't swung that far right. Thanks for clarifying.
Did McCain and Romney take positions further to the right in an effort to make it through the GOP primary?
Romney's comment about 46% of Americans leaching off the government is language directly out of the tea party playbook and it basically sunk him.
Mccain nominated the engineer of the tea party express as his running-mate.
Uh no. Ive been pretty much destroying the big brush. Pay attention, son.
I don't know about that. The article You reference on DW-NOMINATE concedes congress is completely polarized. It simply speaks to the limitations of the underlying data and its misapplication by pundits. No one is saying every republican in congress toes the tea-party platform line. It's quite obvious that that isn't the case. That said, I'd argue the tea party has enjoyed disproportionate representation in every congress since 2010 regardless of whether or not the DW-NOMINATE is capable of supporting that assertion.
Uh...yeah. " But, as vociferous and exposed as they are, they are vastly over reported. Despite appearances, they are in the minority IMO."
And to clarify, when I say disproportionate representation, I'm generally referencing the gerrymandering that followed the 2010 census.
Not denying that, but over represented in congress IMO.
