People are thinking that LSU may take 2 more DT's in the class since 2 of their current DT's were recently arrested (Maquedius Bain & Trey LMFAO) and will not likely return to the team. Jordan Elliott retweeted a tweet about the topic.
Houston will never keep their recruiting class.
If they have a good enough year to keep them, then another program will swoop in take their coaching staff and most of their recruits will follow. If they have an average Houston year, you will other programs come in a show these kids the light.

I'm still not convinced that Les is going to have a good year and may decide to take his talent and leave.

Quotes from S Chris Brown of Alief Elsik after his unofficial visit to UT over the weekend (24/7):
“It felt extremely good to know that something you’ve been waiting for and hoping for is finally here,” Brown said. “It’s a blessing. Myself and the fans in Austin were all very excited.”
“Coach Strong and I talked about the program and what it will take for Texas to get back to what it used to be,” Brown said. “He needs some ballers. I can come in and compete for a spot on the field and also be a difference maker.”
“I have high interest in Texas,” Brown said. “It’s a place of great people where you have an opportunity to be the best that you can be."
There have been a few articles published since the conclusion of the recent QB camp, and coaches are supposed to be doing evaluations this week and making calls to certain prospects. If we see an offer or two handed out, the following 2017 QBs are the ones I think we should keep in mind:
QB, Todd Centeio, Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)

QB, Sam Ehlinger, Austin Westlake **MVP of camp

QB, Jaylon Mascorro, Refugio **could be offered as an ATH

QB, Kellen Mond, San Antonio Reagan **did not attend camp, but Watson has seen him throw

He can't go 8-5 again, imo.
How embarrassing for him...

OrangeBloods reporting 2017 QB Sam Ehlinger of Austin Westlake is returning to campus tomorrow to meet with Coach Watson.
Very possible UT could have their first '17 commitment.
very interesting update on S Brandon Jones from Wilkerson:
The Nacogdoches (Texas) prospect, and one of the top safeties in the country, seems to really be warming up to Charlie Strong’s program. At first I thought he was headed for Texas A&M but lately I’ve come to think of it as more of a Texas vs. LSU battle. Eric Monroe’s recent commitment to the Tigers has to help Texas’ chances. If the Longhorns can get Jones on board then Vance Bedford and Chris Vaughn start to build some scary talented depth at the backend of that secondary.
Per Scout, ATH Grayland Arnold of Kountze did make it to UT on Saturday.

Per 24/7, 2017 PG Victor Bailey of Round Rock McNeil will be on campus today:

Per OrangeBloods, 2017 QB Sam Ehlinger of Austin Westlake has left campus, but did not receive an offer.
Please tell me Strong prohibits helicopter Dads from roaming the sideline during practice...
2017 QB Sam Ehlinger of Austin Westlake discusses his unofficial visit to UT yesterday (24/7):
“I sat down and watched film with Coach Watson for three hours,” Ehlinger said. “I think he was impressed with what I knew about defenses. It’s funny because Coach (Todd) Dodge and Coach Watson are friends, so they run similar offenses. It would be a good fit for me.”
“Coach Watson told me they are going send out more 2017 offers next month, so he really wants me at their Under The Lights camp,” Ehlinger said. “Coach Strong also talked to me about the camp, but he talked mostly about the program and his values.”
“I’ve always loved Texas,” Ehlinger said. “My family loves Texas. I love the location, facilities and tradition. I would be so excited if they offer.”
