I love the "prized big man Randle" part

Media is working overtime for LA. They are hyping up Okafor in hopes of tricking MIN into taking him over Towns. They are writing articles about "prized big man assets" like Randle. It's quite amazing.
Reports are that Randle looks really good in off-season only time will tell if accurate though ...
Ugh, not sure Im 100% sold on Cousins but if we could trade our 27th pick plus Randle and get Cousins somehow Im in especially if the 3 team scenario gets us our Magic pick back. One rumor I heard:

    Magic: #2 (from LAL)
    Sacto: Vucevic (from ORL)
    Lakers: Cousins

Plus other considerations but I still dont like ...

The Spurs and the Warriors have proved that you don't need superstars to win.
Duncan and Curry are both that ...even if Duncan is past his prime and Steph is upcoming both are superstars when it matters.

trading your best player and #2 pick for a bunch of role players doesn't sound like a good deal for the Lakers imho. LA needs superstars (even over-the-hill ones like Wade). They ain't winning anyway in the foreseeable future so anything that helps sell the tickets should be worth signing imho, and obviously the likes of Morris and Thorton wouldn't help that cause.

DMC wouldn't be a bad pick for the Lakers imho. Yes he has some personality issues and may turn out to be a ticking bomb in the locker room but he's still worth the risk, and he's also the only one available out there who can potentially bring some instant change to this Lakers team. Missing the playoffs three years in a row wouldn't do much good to the reputation of the Lakers who have such a long history of glory, tbh.

Give me Thorton... the Morris twins and your number 13 pick for Swaggy P... and our number 2 pick. I'd even throw in Ed Davis.

If they keep Randle (very likely), OK4 should be our pick.
