He's valuable more to a team where he fits absolutely perfectly, like Golden State, than he would for an offensively challenged team.

I didn't see anyone planning to stop Green, or planning to double Green, or planning how to break Green's defense. Green was left wide open because others were being covered and he still froze up and didn't shoot at times.

I'd rather have Danny Green than Draymond Green, real talk.

Cavs showed how to beat GS. You just bother the out of the shooters, duh. You make Iggy or someone else beat you, and they did, but they won't do it every time, else they'd not be bench guys.

damn, if you stop the other team's best offensive players, their offense might underperform.

Which means Draymond only had to really worry about Lebron. Imagine Irving, Vaj and Vag weren't injured.

, by your logic Delly is the best defender in the league. Should get a max contract.

Green is like the modern day Marion who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

Can do everything reasonably well, nothing spectacularly, overrated defensively (still good, just overrated), gives the illusion that he can create on offense. Can shoot, can pass, can dribble, but would struggle if the opposition actually decides to hone in on him. Benefits immensely from PGs who can shoot at an all time great level.

Marion received the max under an environment where max contracts were given out much more loosely, and even then it backfired badly. So no, Green does not deserve the max.

If you stop the other team's best offensive player...blah blah blah. Yet Curry had a bad game.

Delly did work. Get over it. Stephen usurped by a bench player.

    In one post you said:

"damn, if you stop the other team's best offensive players, their offense might underperform."

Then you defended that with the following:

"...why would i consider him to be, because curry had a bad game? "

Either the best offensive player was stopped or he wasn't stopped. You're trying to have your cake after you've already eaten it.

Just more nonsensical bull posting from Philo, never a decent take, just petty bickering and double speak.

Warriors and Green have reached an impasse, contract talks are off currently.

Sounds like they don't want to max him out, or he wants a 2 year deal with an option after 1.

He's the NBA equivalent of Russel Wilson.

Don't the warriors already have close to the largest payroll in the NBA even before he signs? The lux tax is going to hurt.

They could move David Lee, but he's got a whopper of a contract.

imo you don't have an impasse with your star defender after a championship when his max salary is 60m over 4 years. Maybe he doesn't fit into their scheme.

He's the fourth best player... no.
Randle will be better than this .
glorified Brandon Bass imho, overrated role player who's gonna get grossly overpaid.
    Another nut case tbh.

Same mold with JR Smith, Lance Stephenson etc etc
No. current cap, new cap doesnt matter. GSW won because they had players like Green contributing value ABOVE their contract level. Same was true of Curry (like that knuckelhead DMC paying above their payscale) when you start overpaying guys ... it's the start of your ending as a legit le contender. Spurs, cavs etc should hope they do give him the max ...
You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. Now, NOW, now you have to pay the dregs of your society. Close your eyes, hold your nose and sign on the line. You got nary other choice.
