I hated Live 2004, the hop step was so stupid and unguardable. Live 2003 was more fun because of the fast pace, and Live 2006 was pretty good too, but the series went to after.
I worked on NBA Live 15 and still know a bunch of guys on the team. That series is making a pretty good comeback. Still not quite at the level of 2k, but they've made huge leaps in just this past year.

the hopstep was pretty strong, but remember shotblocking at the rim was super easy in that game... scoring was actually a challenge.
the only thing i didn't like about 04 was that the spurs got completely shafted despite being the reigning champs.. .actually were rated lower than the very nets they beat.
The Nets were so much fun to play in Live 03. 03 wasn't realistic at all, it was 5 on 5 NBA Jam. I'd get 20 blocks a game with Mutombo and Martin and then Kidd, Kittles, and were unguardable on the break.
I grew up on Madden, NBA Live & MVP Baseball
I purchased my first FIFA in 2012. Blew my mind. Endless game modes and options. Hands down the greatest sports game I've ever played and by a wide margin. Next thing I know Madden started stealing stuff from FIFA

always played tmac/kobe/vc or just create a player
