First off the KKK. But this is going too far.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-massacre.html

Funny there is no mention of exposing extreme left wing groups. No mention of gang members either, you would think if 8,000 KKK members are such a threat that they'd want to expose the group most responsible for murders in the U.S.

Both the left and right should be very concerned with how far Obama is willing to go.

I'm sure the NSA and/or FBI both already know the names of every right-wing terrorist, which websites they visit, and from which IPs.

Any law requiring the KKK to name its members will come through legislative action. The President, or anyone for that matter, can urge congress to pass new laws.

Considering some KKK members have been outed as police officers recently, not totally in disagreement with him. Several more cops have been fired for belonging to hate groups as well ,in the past year.

There wasn't even a relevant hearsay quote from Riley.

TSA was bound to lose it over Charleston at some point.

Funny you're taking a lesser English paper's interpretation of stateside problems. Funny you'd mistake ideologically-driven murders for criminally-driven murders. Funny you'd assume left-wing terrorists are off the radar (you remember the Unabomber, right? So do our law enforcement agencies). Funny you think any of this is up to the executive branch.

Obama Plans Broader Use of Clemency to Free Nonviolent Drug Offenders

Sometime in the next few weeks, aides expect President Obamato issue orders freeing dozens of federal prisoners locked up on nonviolent drug offenses. With the stroke of his pen, he will probably commute more sentences at one time than any president has in nearly half a century.

The expansive use of his clemency power is part of a broader effort by Mr. Obama to correct what he sees as the excesses of the past, when politicians eager to be tough on crime threw away the key even for minor criminals. With many Republicans and Democrats now agreeing that the nation went too far, Mr. Obama holds the power to unlock that prison door, especially for young African-American and Hispanic men disproportionately affected.

But even as he exercises authority more assertively than any of his modern predecessors, Mr. Obama has only begun to tackle the problem he has identified. In the next weeks, the total number of commutations for Mr. Obama’s presidency may surpass 80, but more than 30,000 federal inmates have come forward in response to his administration’s call for clemency applications.
