He was so excited about his deal he jumped up and down.. subsequently he broke his foot and is now out 6-8 months
That is a ton of money for a guy with a bum foot all the time. I like the other Lopez better tbh...
$20 mil/year for Lopez... amazing
's got a ring. An extra 15mil will help me get over the losses tbh![]()
TD is going to make Peanuts even though he is a top 5 bigman in the league while Lopez is getting paid 20 a year..

Brooklyn just wants to suck.. Maybe suck in Russian means something else
going to a gulag?
If Green leaves outright will the Spurs still need to unload Tiago to get Aldridge?
Good question. Anyone?
If he goes to Detroit at least he has experience with a chucking PG
Unlikely.
Shams Charania @ShamsCharania
Jimmy Butler is considering accepting Bulls' 5-year max deal, w/ option on Year 4, league sources tell RealGM. Plans to sleep on decision.
True, plus I believe the suburbs there are nice. And SVG is no slouch.
Smartest decision he could make. Guy will get exposed if he ventures out
Still hoping Green returns to us.
May 4, 2015 11:46 am EThttp://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-...the-same-againSan Antonio Spurs swingman Danny Green will be a free agent in the summer, and he wants to remain where he is. He knows, however, that there's no guarantee the Spurs will look the same next season, via the San Antonio Express-News' Mike Monroe:
Green, who turns 28 in June, is in line for a big payday. He's one of the best perimeter defenders and 3-point shooters in the NBA, which is a hard combination to find. He was inconsistent throughout San Antonio's first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers, but came through with a huge Game 7 performance.“It hasn't sunk in yet, but this is a special group,” he said. “That's why it sucks so bad, especially for Timmy (Duncan) and Manu (Ginobili). We had an opportunity to do something special for them. All I can do is hope and pray for another group like that in the future, but I have a feeling some of those guys will be back. R.C. and Pop do a great job of bringing in new guys.”
…
“Hopefully, I'll be back,” he said. “I love San Antonio. The fans have always supported us, from day one. It sucks that we had such a special group, and things may be changing and not be the same again.”
The Spurs only have five players under contract for next season: Tony Parker, Tiago Splitter, Boris Diaw, Patty Mills and Kyle Anderson. They're expected to re-sign Kawhi Leonard, their new franchise player, and perhaps go after Portland Trail Blazers star LaMarcus Aldridge. There is uncertainty about whether or not Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili will play another year, though, so it's hard to project how all of this will play out.
San Antonio's season ended extremely early, given how great this group is. There's no telling how similar next year's team will be, but Green definitely isn't the only one hoping that most of the Spurs stick together.
3/60M for a big on one leg
Yeah trading splitter will not be hard
Ramona Shelburne @ramonashelburne
Spurs are among the teams to call Tayshaun Prince tonight.
Danny is only taking those meetings for the out of town strange that teams will be offering up
Prince isn't a terrible option for cheap.
Green replacement
Assuming cap is $61.7, Aldridge + Parker + Diaw + Kawhi (cap hold ... QO is lower) + Mills + Anderson = $51.817. Splitter at $8.5 brings that up to $60.317. That's seven guys and assuming Duncan comes back, would need five minimum cap holds ($525k or so apiece) bringing that total close to $63 million. That would require Duncan to sign for around $4mm. A cap being $2mm higher would give another $1.5mm of room for Duncan. CoJo QO would need to be rescinded
They would still have room exception for Manu or someone else, and retain Splitter for a trade (Boston / Milwaukee) where they may be able to extract premium value after FA as opposed to fire sale price now.
Anyway, the ship is far from having left port on Danny. He'd be stupid NOT to take calls from other teams.
