The Kings, as expected, wasted no time in reaching out to free agent point guard Rajon Rondo. Already being aggressive, I'm told. Free agent PG Rajon Rondo is intrigued by Kings & their roster, source said. He's also close friends with Rudy Gay whose been very vocal about trying to get Rondo.

He's 29 and this could possibly be his last biggest payday. He'll go for max money.

Rondo/Gay/Cousins + a coach that doesn't even want Cousins there is a recipe for an entertaining season.

Karl will be the first to go imo, then who gets traded
    first? Gay?

This deal should only go throw if he can shoot 70 percent or higher at the FT line next season.

This is terrible. I thought the league dodged a bullet after he got exposed in Dallas. If he can't get some idiot team like the Kings to give him a big contract that trade costed him tens of millions.

That trade didn't cost him millions. His diva at ude and unwillingness/inability to develop a jumper is what cost him millions. (And yeah, the injury didn't help either.)

I like Rondo for his fearlessness. Unfortunately, that sword is double-edged, meaning he also doesn't GAF about working with others, improving his game, etc etc. If he does, it certainly doesn't show. I figured Rondo would be ok in Dallas because Dirk was there, but even he wasn't enough.

Your people are known to have penny pinched and undercut their players. Cowens, Russell come to mind. There are two sides to every story,,,Christ, if I've learned one thing across six decades it's that. With your team we've only ever heard one side and one side only. That's served you well, but, you've paid a price and a stiff one.

& like somebody else here addressed Nowitski's leadership a en, he hasn't any. He's been too busy gettin' his own to drag anybody else behind him.

Boiled down? I'd have the 17, you'd have the 16 if it weren't for in' Rondo.

True enough. We should've won that Game 2 against the Heat. That will be my best memory of Rondo, that night. His finest game in green to me, bar none.

rondo is trash. read a report that said gay was really pulling for him. rudy was finally having a good impact on a team but this will erase it. the kings should go after goran. any team that needs a pg should go after goran.

Agree, Goran is undoubtedly the best PG available in the market, and it's definitely good news for other teams who're also looking for PG's that the Kings have eliminated themselves from the race by giving up 20m+ cap space for what may probably turn out to be the tiest signing of 2015 summer. I'm not saying Rondo is a ty player though, is serviceable when he's in his right mind, but he may backfire and kill the team's chemistry.

Cousins and Rondo on same team would be a disaster... two of the most immature stars in the league.... what a bad move, if it happens. Poor George Karl...
