I'm starting to reach the acceptance stage that Verde is gone. I was all in denial a few hours ago. Fuuuuuuck
Well, FACK.

Not if LMA is off the table, tbh. We won't know for a few more days.
Well I've also come to accept that LMA is coming so I got my bases covered when disappointment hits one way or another.![]()
What's the max the Spurs can pay Green if they get LaMarcus?
Exactly...those guys were capable (Stockton debatable though) and brought their teams to the cusp.
middleton is more valuable than danny... and by a comfy margin. it remains to be seen how danny is valued compared to khris
Well, if Green leaves, at least we won't have to trade Splitter. Right?
Depends on what the revised luxury tax limit is.
Ken Berger reporting that the cap could be as much as $2m higher than the expected $67.1m. That could be HUGE for the Spurs, increasing by as little as $1m means we can effectively give Aldridge his max AND keep Mills by just dumping Splitter. Going up by $2m means we could give Aldridge the max by dumping just Diaw. The Spurs get so much more flexibility with a $69m cap compared to $67m
Welp...gonna be an unproductive day at work.
That is.....freaking brilliant. Now I can't get it out of my head. LaMarcus Aldridge is Marc Gasol, but with extra syllables!
Dude just wouldn't like all the paparazzi L.A. brings.. when asked which player he would've love to play with from the 90s, he said MJ or Tim.
Tim?? Tim Hardaway or Tim Thomas? What could this mean![]()
Not true. He would actually make the same taking less playing for SA due to the State Income Tax. But it is that 5th year guarantee that is playing at him. Suppose the Spurs can give him a PO after the 1st year and resign him to another 4 year, more lucrative deal next year.
Lamar is the type of player you can dump the ball to on offense and take care of it. We don't have and haven't had that type of player since prime Duncan prime Manu and prime porker.
Beats having porker Evita or Danny green stand around like re s and let the shot clock run. I don't care about other teams. Lamar would fit the spurs like a glove
I think he means MegaSuperStar. Duncan and Shaq would definitely fit in that category. Aldridge is not one of those once in a generation type players. Under 25, only Davis is at this point. Even Kwahi doesn't fit that mold, and with his lack of leadership, he probably won't ever. But doesn't mean he can't be a HOF type player or a Max player.
A lot of max worthy player can't even touch Shaq or Duncan levels which is why they have multiple championships and FMVP trophies.
The race to be first is silly.
Getting it correct with all the proper details in a well written article is honey.
I sound like an old man but wtf...
Oh andsaying Griffiths a guy that's played next to CP3 and Deandre his entire career, a far superior player

I thought of those two as well, but I love the speculation.
Is he over himself?
I don't really like the apparent pandering.
If he wants LA let him have it. We gotta have a guy willing to sacrifice NOW, for this group of players. The front office may try to sell him long term and that would be great if he is as good as he appears to be but this is a Now project first and foremost. We have a streak of good guys I would like to extend after we win again.
I'm no mathematician, but 90% of $108M still far exceeds the max $80M the Spurs could offer. It's not equal.
LaMarcus could take a risk and go with the 4yr deal with player options in the latter two, but a pay bump in yrs 3/4 aren't guaranteed...risk of severe injury or decline. Not saying he won't do it. But, on this deal alone the Spurs will be outbid by the Blazers.
I don't have your confidence but I wish I did.
The Lakers FO can't even name their starting five.
