he's spent his first 4 years on a ridiculously undervalued rookie deal. consider that your discount. its his first free agency... to early to be thinking discounts. maybe his next time around depending on what the team looks like
lol wut, i've been saying leonard deserves and will get a max all along
sorry for doing things other than spurstalk once in a while![]()

Yeah man, he deserves it. Just wishful thinking.
I hope Kawhi will reward the Spurs by upgrading his offense in return.
I mean, consistently ...
With this 'agreement' with Kawhi Leonard, the San Antonio Spurs FO is starting their free agency recruitment this summer with a bang !!!!![]()
Congratulations for keeping Kawhi..
Next Aldridge ..![]()
Offseason workout is fine, but he needs to play 80 games in the regular season. This alone will bring huge development opportunities in itself. Hopefully no more hand injuries.
And next year he should not turn down an invitation of Team USA again ...
If it's just the straight five years with no player options, in two years, with the cap jumping to 107M or thereabouts, this deal is going to look even better.
get it brah. and let's smoke weed sometime if you're into that .
Man deserved it ! Hopefully the FO can pull LMA off.
I'm a Kawhi hater ?![]()
Expected and well deserved
Spurs offseason already a success, this was number one priority tbh
Hope this money will incentive him from not playing like a scared child.
link for what? i don't now what he'll do. He may come back, but he is done as a player. He has deteriorated. He's a turnover machine and jump shot isn't what it used to be.
according to simple krew logic:
French flag= Parker fan= Kawhi hater
The most significant thing about all these folks meeting Aldridge in Cali is who is missing. And that is Manu.
Duncan, Parker, Kawhi, Pop,RC - all meeting to try to convince Aldridge to come to SA. But no Manu.
I understand if Manu hangs it up....but I sure loved watching him play.
Doesn't Manu live in Argentina in the offseason?
pretty sure if TP can make it from China, Manu could make it from South America..
Read that Manu will be there.
logical thinking is not the big strength of this krew unfortunately
Scared child? How about Kawhi evolving as a two way player, whose offensive game is still evolving. You don't get awarded Finals MVP, and defensive player of the year, "playing like a scared child".
If Tony, Tim and Pop are all there why would he need to come all the way from Argentina? Maybe he plays, maybe he doesn't but if they are adding LA we are going to be better.. It's an easy message..
My WOJTEK doing work
Leonard will join teammates Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, and president/coach Gregg Popovich and general manager R.C. Buford at a presentation to the Blazers All-Star forward, sources said.
Pop: "The Spurs are committed to excellence as shown by our record, and if you decide to come here you'll be an integral part of that continued excellence."
Tim: "What Pop said"
RC: "hiccup... I lov.. huv... you Marcus... goddamnit... hic... love you..."
Manu: "obviamente"
Leonard: "it's good"
