He was crucial for that 2014 championship tbh. Sad he couldnt stay healthy in 2015. Different seeding could have happend
Sure, he was soft, at times, and his injuries were frustrating, but he was a huge part of 2 runs to the Finals and 1 championship..
He was essential to the defensive success of this team, his performances vs. the Warriors/Randolph/Gasol/Nowitzki/Aldridge in the 2013 and 2014 playoffs were conducive to the Spurs' run, and he never complained, despite spending the beginning of his Spurs' career on the bench splitting minutes with a player like Dejuan Blair() and behind Bonner/old McDyess..

golden god tbh... he did us good
great complement to timmy on both ends, and his great contract facilitating a move for aldridge
he was awesome at setting picks
He was good but, overrated.
He was a big piece of the spurs le run and success.I personally thank him.
Splitter was a winner everywhere he went... hope he finds success again with the Hawks by crushing the Cavs.
Big mistake trading him for soft ass LMA. (assuming he signs)
Was great against Dirk and LaMarcus in 2014.
Best of luck to him in Atlanta. He did some good things for us here.
THE GOLDEN GOD brought us that 5th ring. You will be missed. Love ya my .
Depending on the asset coming back, this could be awesome. Hoping for Tarvarres and a pick.
I'd rather have Splitter than Aldridge if Golden God could stay healthy and play starter minutes, but he can't.
Great player and great Spur.
Huge part of that Drive for Five. RIP Spleeeter
Props to the GOLDEN GOD!
Somehow I had sensed that Bud would take Splitter specially after Pero Antic went away.
Good luck Tiago!
I'm really glad that he's going to the Hawks and not some lottery team. The P&R combo with Manu was always fun to watch and will be greatly missed.
He was good when healthy. Appreciate what he did. Best of luck to him in Atlanta.

Hmm probably third best player in 2014. Maybe second. Kawhi has higher ceiling of course but no one works harder than splitter on the court. He'll be missed. Best Duncan friend since Robinson for sure that alone should get him into spurs hof status
No more frogging by Patty, Boris, Manu and Splitter![]()
He was a big part of 2014 redemption. That makes him a Spur for Life regardless of any other teams he plays for.
I'm gonna miss that goofy looking bas . Dude was soft but he put in work and never complained and always gave the effort when his calf wasn't being a . RIP Golden God, you will be sorely missed. At least he got traded to a good team with Coach Bud running it
