Lakers and obviously the Blazers.
Yes, but in the current scenario it really doesn't matter as we're assuming that his new contract will be for substantially less than his cap hold. So, even though he may technically be signed with his Bird Rights, the salary will have to fit into the remaining cap space.
Lakers and obviously the Blazers.
Phoenix is another team scheduled to meet with Aldridge.
Spurs versus Warriors for the Western Finals next year!!!!
It looks like it may depend on if the cap is 2 mill more than originally projected. It'll be that close.
Thanks, mate.
Makes sense.
I approve of this thread, tbh... welcome back Danny
David Aldridge

Asked Danny Green why he's staying in SA. His answer: "the family." Don't know if that's Spurs or blood...which explains why SA keeps guys.
I don't think so. My read on the Cojo QO was that it was a risk free move if we assume that Cory stands to get offers approaching the MLE in today's market. Therefore, almost zero chance that he signs the QO and fouls their plans. If LMA agrees today, then they renounce the QO. If he goes elsewhere, then the Spurs match reasonable offer for Cory.
OTOH, they didn't tender the QO to Baynes, even though they planned to move Splitter. Baynes was much more likely to sign the QO, imo.
Man, you got an impostor running around. Another Darth Potato head.
That's cheaper than I expected, was thinking it would be $48m/4yr minimum. Carroll got $60m so Danny is definitely taking a discount.
If we win another le he's going in the rafters.
We may have the best pair of perimeter defenders in the league for the next half decade!![]()
Have yourself a good day DMFG. I know I will.
agreed, like no other. GSG![]()
Maybe. But I guess I'm wondering if Tim considers Cory one of those must-keep guys. I can totally see the front office thinking he has a real future in SA still, especially since it gives them the freedom to move Mills. Tim made room for Danny in the 2012 off-season. So there's a precedent there.
I'd be very surprised if he played for the minimum, but who knows? Maybe Holt has already promised him a piece of the team after he retires.
FO handing out crow pies.
Not to project, but the Spurs are a team that keeps players around. Green can be set for life in the Spurs' organization in some capacity. We'll be seeing Bonner for years, for example. I can see Green as the same, if he wanted.
Lol, and we've been complaining about the contract of a guy who's led the Spurs in scoring and assists four out of the last five seasons, when these scrubs are making more and our role players are making as much now (and that's with him leaving money on the table). Lol.
Any chances Danny's deal has an early opt out to it in say, 2 years or so?
