Ok i can see that this Pick guy is not just a TSpence, but I am still not sold:
Great offseason by the Hawks.
Brandan Wright is a good get but the Grizzlies need another perimeter threat or two before they become true contenders, IMO.
Marc stein was on zach lowes podcast this week and basically said the same thing. Asked why teams with no chance take the meetings and stein said something to the effect that it helps teams seem like destinations and legit franchises. He said the clippers point to their meeting with lebron, even though no one thought they had a shot, as one of the turning points to turning their franchises reputation around.
It seems weird for Pick to stick his neck out like this. A random guy like TSpence has nothing to lose by being wrong.
Maybe they get a young athletic wing to replace Carroll for cheap? They certainly didn't get hurt too bad by Carroll leaving
It's not that much of a no-brainer.
You could say a lot of negative things on the spurs :
- 1 or 2 more years max for Duncan and maybe Pop
- Ginobili almost done
- Parker maybe (probably?) not the same anymore
- Diaw / Mills / Green etc... all very inconsistent
It leaves Kawhi and a great FO but the FO hasn't draft anyone worthy since 2011 and Kawhi is becoming a good offensive player but you can't yet build an elite offense around him IMO
Stuff it, "Pinky"
This is the biggest decision of his basketball life he deserves to listen to everybody he said he would listen to. The fact that he is doing his due diligence and talking to everyone is a good thung. It shows he is a man of his word. He told all those teams he would meet with them and he is. That's a good quality actually.
David Pick is no source. He just makes up things and calls himself a reporter. He is well known for that in Europe.
Portland would have known for a while.
They signed Aminu and threw a massive bag of cash at lillard.
Well if Milsap will play a SF it will be all good, but I don't think so. I am sure they gonna get a SF that is a good defender for cheap.
Good luck getting late breaking hard hitting news. And don't be surprised if LeMarcus signs somewhere else where freedom of speech and good posting is respected.
This Knicks thing is a joke, right? They just drafted their power forward of the future and there is only one basketball allowed on the court during the games, and in NY, that ball belongs to Melo.
No , this site is pretty funny sometimes - half the posters saying he's not coming anymore were talking about their bball boners like 3 hours ago.
Already got Spur killer Mo Williams lol
They don't have to. Its the east. Hawks should now roll all over the Cavs. Let Lebum and Jr Smith start clanking the 28 foot, 0 time on the shot-clock, jumpers.
Using "TSpence" like this should definitely stick![]()
Agree, but I think if Lamarcus wants a shot at the ring right now it's the Spurs he needs to choose.
Suns do brilliant things like signing two point guards to big contracts.
Yeah it's looking good and I had taken that they were in rebuild mode for a given until just now.
But they can still offer him the most money and there is a chance he just didn't like Batum and won't really mind him being out.
Then there are the rumblings of a trade for Bledsoe (to kind of replace Mathews) who the Portland GM drafted back in the day.
What makes that complicated is the Suns also being interested in LMA lol.
We must be winning this.
It's been 1 day and people are already writing him off for not signing already. Hahaha, gotta love the internet.
I agree, LMA being 30 help us.
A 27 year old LMA would maybe not consider the spurs because too old beside Kawhi
Phoenix rumors clearly mean spurs are ed.
Starting baynes and over paying a scrub big man for depth smh
