There were reports that Portland was gunning to get both LMA back and Monroe... which would make that report somewhat make sense...
Portland?
That doesn't sound good.

Are people not realizing what LeBron is doing to the Cavs, tbh?
Insiders have been saying this for weeks..he's going to force Gilbert to pay a record amount of luxury tax out of spite and leverage..
Can they afford Monroe and Aldridge?
Be careful what you wish for, tbh.
Yeah that's supposedly their plan.
Eh, even if LMA doesn't resign with them Monroe would be a decent piece to help replace him.
Weird that Portland would be pursuing Greg Monroe to play alongside him, when Duncan can play the center much more comfortably than he can. Playing Monroe at the 5 would just be forced.
Getting the Spurs' plan A and plan B, while getting the Spurs to trade away their starting center would be the biggest ing so far for sure.
Woj tweeting that Lamarcus may go to the Suns because of Chandler.
I don't think it's a good idea on his part, but I think it's obvious that he's forcing Gilbert to spend a ton of $$ while keeping their team intact..
A team paying 18 per year for a rebounding specialist and 10 per year for an average role player has to be a move to with Gilbert..
Choosing Phoenix would just be so ing stupid. Knight and Chandler, really?

Sources: Suns have legitimately closed the gap in pursuit of LaMarcus Aldridge. Tyson Chandler, perimeter talent. They're a real factor.
David Aldridge @daldridgetnt · 1m1 minute ago
Suns believed before meeting Aldridge they had a shot. They were right. Chandler surprise big. Phoenix was "very impressive," per source

The Warriors have agreed to terms on a five-year, $85 million deal with their free agent forward Draymond Green, a source told Yahoo.
So much for that impasse.

Sacramento is trading Jason Thompson and Carl Landry as part of a salary dump to the Philadelphia 76ers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
I thought Draymond Green was gonna hold out for a bigger contract in light of the absurd numbers being thrown around today.
Oh now LaMarcus wants to meet with them, too.
