As Mills was a member of the LMA presentation group, I am certain they plan (and know) how to keep him. They wouldn't bring someone in to woo a free agent if that person is going to be gone. RC and Pop have this figured out.
It seems like the Suns did precisely that.

If we miss out on everybody, I can see us getting Hibbert for our capspace, TBH.

Oh good Lord! All the slobbering over Spanoulis. And Ioannos Bourousis? Remember? He was (supposedly) THIS close to leaving the Euroleague and signing with the Spurs. I think those two filled as many pages as LMA is.

well Lamar is turning 31 soon. He's no spring chicken.

If he wants to win NOW, SPurs would be best bet. Although the negative part is that if Duncan, Manu retire next year, we'd pretty much be in the same boat as Phoenix.

IMO what's hurting Spurs the most is that Duncan has 1 foot out the door.

Monroe is a smart guy, now lets hope Aldridge does the same and wants to win.

So not apart of the Splitter deal
He could probably only be a part of the deal if the Spurs missed out on LMA. I don't see how his signing a deal would change that in any way.

Suns can't even get a contract signed because they don't have the space. So basically they have to get a commitment from Alderidge and then salary dump half their team. And under one of two scenarios, they can only trade with Portland and Dallas. Seems like at lot of obstacles that need to happen. And if they fall through, the other suitors may have already moved onto plan B. I'm just assuming Aldridge goes to the best team that has cleared a path already.

Everything you say is completely logical. Let's hope it happens.

Hope he considers the Spurs management that has been top notch at roster building versus the Suns management and owner who have consistently made bad roster moves and can't be trusted to put together a contending team.

Ah yes. Back when the Euroleague was going to take over the basketball world and the NBA was to lose all its stars.

Where is that Greek poster who used to spam this forum about the eleventy billion euro contracts players could get in Greece?

Probably standing in line at an ATM in Athens.

Tyson Chandler over Tim Duncan? If that's what it comes down to, and he selects the Suns, then he is a ing re , and he's insulting the entire franchise. Tyson Chandler, what a joke.

So if the Mavs had just resigned Chandler they could have also got Alderidge? Major fail, if true.

Chandler may have less useful years left in him than Duncan. Which is saying a lot considering Duncan's age.

Don't get me wrong, Chandler is a good post defender / rebounder / pick & roll guy attacking the basket. But he's not going to help floor spacing and half the allure to Aldridge's game is ability to go high or low.

Spurs should sign Dalembert. He and Chandler are pretty much the same right now.

Still cant believe Chandler is a major factor in this.

    Arkansas?

Regarding Tavares...I don't imagine he'd come cheap. If Atlanta goes with 4 bigs hor, split, millsp, Tavares, who starts?

Just trying to read the tea leaves, Tavares as plan C is fair if we get the right pieces. I imagine both Atlanta and S.A. Are good spots up induce Tavares to come over. The timing isn't really su ious either way. The contract amount is, though.

So Aldridge likes Tyson Chandler and wants him as a mentor. But the Spurs has...
