Realistically, can the Spurs cancel the Splitter trade if LMA doesn't sign with them?
What does he stand to gain from this 3+ day circus? How could trending on multiple social networking platforms and the news cycle for a week help a professional athlete?

Nope. It can be done, but it's not realistic to think that's an option IMO.
That's the real problem. A couple of days ago, they could have at least overpaid for a Plan B. Now they would have to overpay for a Plan C. You don't ring with Plan C in the middle.
Not without repercussions publicly. Unless SA and ATL do a backwater deal and say he failed his physical.
Seems unlikely. Splitter and several Spurs have all said goodbye.
suns traded away lots of people but spurs just traded splitter for shot at abridge

Sources: Free agent LaMarcus Aldridge is working to narrow his list of choices to two or three teams today. No final decision is imminent
Spears just said on radio Spurs have 75% chance, Suns 25% chance. Will likely take entire 4th of July weekend to make decision.

ESPN sources say DeAndre Jordan is on verge of accepting Mavs' four-year, $80M+ max offer. Dallas firmly in lead and decision likely today
Yeah, we (probably) made the first cut.
Maybe Vivek and Vlade are desperate enough to take Parker and picks for Cousins right now, tbh..Karl is a big Parker fan IIRC..
We have no idea what the deal between the two actually is nor what the NBA's position is. Predicting consequences seems more than a little premature.

I thought that was the plan all along, as Atlanta had a lot of cap space they didn't really need, but Tiago saying goodbye on Twitter sounds like a confirmation that it's done.
I feel like if one of the choices is Portland, he probably goes back.
Deandre to the Mavs = Clippers now irrelevant again.
DeAndre on the verge of going to Dallas, per Marc Stein
Jordan is overrated as , but Clippers losing him absolutely kills their team for next year, tbh..
Warriors are 1 Aldridge to the Suns or Blazers decision away from having another cakewalk to the Finals, tbh..

Well there's OKC, but who knows if Durant will be able to stay healthy...much less perform at his MVP 2014 level.
Boom: There is the Jordan news just like I thought. Worked out perfectly for SA. Hurts the Clips, takes Dallas out of LMA race and ensures RoLo to NY making POR less of a basketball threat for LMA.
I would fully expect to hear about LMA to SA in the next day now that the Jordan shoe has dropped. PHX can't be a legit threat.
What in the world does LMA sees in the Suns??
