    Losing Splitter hurts in particular but I'm still on board with the front office clearing space and making a run at Aldridge. Realistically, the window is now about 3 inches from hitting the ledge and closing. They picked a moment in time that was their best opportunity in several years and went for it. If they swing and miss, chalk it up to the law of averages and move on. Aldridge gives them a shot at building towards the future. There are not many 20-10 guys from Texas, who went to school in Austin, who are low key individuals, and play the exact same position as your nearly retired franchise player. It just doesn't happen.

    Don't know about y'all, but it's comforting knowing Pop is there with a 2nd meeting. Although he's known for being a bit of an asshole with the media, almost everyone that has been around him has said he's a fantastic person and just all-around good guy. I trust that he's saying the right things and making a good impression on Aldridge.
