Well...no
I don't think he likes contact.
Well...no
Yes, Hibbert is much, much less mobile than Splitter. Splitter is actually quite mobile for a center.
Hibbert is probably the most immobile player in the NBA.
Try to keep up. One of their assistants, working some sort of camp, said YESTERDAY that he wasn't coming back, and this time, no one bothered to deny it. Every move they made also says that he's not coming back.
I'm told LMA and spurs will give confirmation either tonight or tom.
He's not a good fit, but he's huge, proven to be a legit rim protector (matters less and less now) and expires next year. Can't think of a better 1 year stop gap in event LMA says no.
I'm hearing LMA will join the Spurs or another team.
I'm hearing that your sources are either right or wrong.
Sup bro?
Another factor often not brought up is Texas lack of a state tax. Not to say that there was ever really a chance that he would be a Laker, however there is a big difference in taxes between here and there. Not to mention even Arizona has a 5% state tax. Thats a extra million dollars on a $20mil contract between SA and Phoenix. Even moreso of a difference between Dallas and LA for DeAndre.
If Alderidge signs and Duncan and Manu retire the following year, that will open up opportunities for LMA to not only be the man, but to recruit another star to fill the Spot left by the two parting stars. Plus the Spurs will still have Parker, Green, and most importantly, Kawhi, who I think is primed to have a break out year.
As I have said a few days ago before free agency started, LMA will be signing with the spurs for a two year deal.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
As long as it's the Mavs.
Hibbert can't pass, has never player in an NBA offense that doesn't use vanilla schemes or anything unconventional, doesn't score efficiently, and while he is an elite rim defender, how the would he possibly fit well with 39-year old Tim Duncan?
Not interested, at all, unless he is joining as a 4th big..
I was being sarcastic yo.![]()
I think Spurs need to sign Koufus, regardless if they get LMA. He was a solid player for the Grizzlies and is a physical player in the post.
It's not a hat. They're called dreads and it takes a long time to grow them.
If LMA says no, it's not about fit, unfortunately - sort of have to take what you can to replace Splitter. Just don't be foolish about it and make sure you're a player in FA next year.
I didn't think he was that slow, but I know you know the game. You're right about the game speeding up. And it's a different world in the Western Conference.
Bobi Marjonovic anyone?
The "Pardon the Interruption" guys just said they think the Lakers are the favorites now (based on the 2d interview request).
Stupid. Just based on that?
Phoenix was last in the WCF in 2012-2013 - haven't made the playoffs for years. LaMarcus Aldridge embarrassed the Lakers by not being swayed by fluff, dude is al business - basketball, basketball, basketball. Okay, so between the Spurs and the Suns, who do you think would give the better basketball picture - we made it to The Finals 2 of the last 3 years, winning it all once.
It's either the Spurs or Portland. The second meeting with the Lakers was simply out of consideration, probably to his representatives relationships with he Lakers, that all.
I think we're going to get him. The Mavericks just signed Deandre Jordan. I'm about ready to put on Pharrell's Happy song and dance nekkid. You ever dance nekkid? You need to do it. You won't understand until you do. Dance around, let your willywhacker knock a lamp off the table, it's MAN time.
Sincerely,
Embedded- the first to celebrate the signing of LaMarcus Aldridge by the San Antonio Spurs. Nekkid.
