Re: Houston...I was initially a little worried about them making a hard push, but if what we've read about Aldridge is true, I don't think he wants to be there. They already have Harden who is definitely "the man" there, as well as Dwight. Supposedly LMA is big on not wanting to take a backseat to guys like Lillard, so I don't think he wants to go somewhere where someone else is far and away the #1 guy.
I've been pessimistic this whole time about Aldridge coming here, but idk, it's just the only thing that even makes sense at this point. Portland has lost 3 of their starters and won't be doing anytime soon. I know they can give him the most money, but if he's that concerned about money, he should sign a 1-2 year deal and then re-up when the TV money kicks in. Dallas is out of the race now. In Houston he wouldn't be the #1 guy which is apparently really important to him, so they're out. Phoenix would have to gut their entire roster outside of Knight/Bledsoe/Chandler - is that seriously that enticing? SA just seems like the clear best choice for him, and that's not even adding in that he'd be back in Texas and closer to his family and kids.
