What is it with Pop? He get's these power forwards that eventually learn how to shoot 3's, but never signs them up.

About as much as a snowball's.
As your bookie- I advise you NOT to invest anything tangible in this player as of yet.
Especially money, no matter the currency you are currently swimming in. I don't judge.
I'll put my pesos away.
And break out the handfuls of precious gems? You narcissistic ...
Cady did perform pretty decently against some of the bigger schools, especially on the boards, so that might translate to the next level.
What does my sleeping disorder have to do with anything?
You use the long number at the end between [Tweet ] [/Tweet ]
No spaces at the end of tweet. Just did it so it wouldn't code.
After Malik and Speedy I wouldn't take A10 players lightly. Sure, bring up Sato I'll choose to be positive like chump dumper
I think we see cady on at least a late season 10 day. He's probably an austin spurs for the year.
Is that a serious question, or are you just being obtuse? I don't know anything about him. In the past, that's kind of how you made a splash with Pop in summer league. See Neal, Gary and Tolliver, Anthony. Like I said, he's going to have to do something other than hit threes.
Lalanne says he can shoot 3s, but that's just a skill he has not his whole game. He says his strengths are as a defender and rebounder and compares himself or studies Draymond Green, David West, Brandon Bass. He's not a finesse player.
Being a defender and rebounder would do it, but he's going to have to really dominate summer league to warrant a look with the big team.
Was Ayres a summer league beast? Baynes? I don't remember him dominating summer league. Lalanne should be able to fill that role. Like a Mahinmi type. Nothing special but just some spot minutes.
I mean, he was the 55th/56th pick in the draft. Him even being good enough to even play spot minutes in the NBA next season is far from a guarantee.
Baynes was undrafted Ayres was like the 60th pick. They were able to contribute and Lalanne should be able to as well.
Ayres was picked 31st and Baynes honed him game overseas for several years. I doubt Lalanne will be contributing in any meaningful way, if he even makes the team.
Well, I'll be rooting for the kid. He looks like a solid player. He should be able to take Ayres spot. It's always intriguing when the Spurs draft a kid who will actually play in the summer league which can't get here soon enough. I'm sick of all this Aldridge hype.
LaLanne is an Austin Spur. He'll get a TC invite, and a little guaranteed money to soften the blow of the ty d-league check, and be cut at the end of camp.
Spurs passed up Christian Wood and Cliff Alexander for him. Guessing role player potential is there.
If you look at his pace adjusted Stas on draftexpress he ranks pretty high on rebounds and blocks. Add in his length!, and as you point out he did well against bigger schools, I think he has an outside chance of making the final roster.
Ayres is 31st pick... that's pretty high for someone with his lack of skills. I can't believe he didn't improve in the 2 years he played for the Spurs.
Hope Lalanne has enough length to make an impact. Here's an interesting stat... Lalanne standing reach is 9'2.5" with 7'5" wingspan.... Splitter standing reach is LESS at 9'1" and wingspan of 7'1".
Leonard's reach is 8'11" and wingspan of 7'3". Greek Freak's wingspan is reported to be 7'3" to 7'4".
So there is no doubt that Lalanne has length. Let's see if Chip can make him into a 3 and D dude!
Just looking at the video here: http://www.umassathletics.com/sports...062615aab.html you think that he's some monster player!
Unfortunately, I don't take any of the recent 2nd rounders seriously until Spurs sign them to a real deal. I am sure Malcolm Thomas had a lot of impressive length as well but we see where he is along w/the rest of the 2nd rounders drafted. Don't expect much, but hope for best.
I really am hoping Anderson looks impressive and can start getting time in the rotation.
Malcolm thomas went undrafted.
