Is this true? If so, that would be amazing.
Just give RC (and Pop) the GM of the Year award now. Leonard, Green, Duncan and now Aldridge. WOW!
One more year Manu! and/or maybe David West?
Is this true? If so, that would be amazing.
Spurs fan from 2003.... they are still spiling me as a fan!![]()
0ver $80M 4-Year contract with opt out after the 3rd year....according to reports.
such a great show
Yeah. I didn't like the new generation cast.
That new cast was an abomination that I struck from my memory.
The show ended the season before.
Agreed Turkleton.
Too much for free agents not going to San Antonio
2 Spurs will be in the All-Star Game in 2016> Kawhi & LaMarcus
Yep, but to be fair, the numbers are probably a little skewed since I'm assuming Lopez defended the better big on the opposing team more often..
Still, though, good news..
Also, Aldridge absolutely owns and destroys the Rockets, which is nice..
2 current and 2 recent former all stars in the starting lineup, with one of the best 3-and-D guys in the league as a consolation prize.
Awesome news to receive over the holiday weekend!!!![]()

I felt confident in this once it became apparent he was done with the Trail Blazers, which was a few months ago . . . sure, the Suns salary dumps a few days ago momentarily gave me pause, but there were too many rumors from too many credible people and it made too much sense, for it not to happen.
Not that they've been in a financial position or could offer a role commensurate with a player of this caliber very often, but still, it's about damn time someone of significance picked the Spurs.
I'm stunned. This is the first signing of an current All-Star free agent since 1976. Congrats to owner Holt, Pop and RC for a job beyond well-done and into the realm of excellence.
Portland may want the exception, so this could wind up being an S&T. It won't cost us anything, because the return would just be something like one of our aging Euro prospects, or a heavily protected second rounder that expires after one year. Their real return is an $18M trade exception that lasts for a year.

"The Spurs' 10.6 net rating per 100 possessions is not far off what Golden State managed last season (plus-11.5), and indeed this projection shows San Antonio winning an average of between 66 and 67 games, similar to last season's Warriors."

"With the 6-foot-11 Aldridge in the fold, essentially replacing the traded Tiago Splitter in the starting five, the Spurs have not only cemented themselves in the championship mix next season, but have built a clear bridge to the post-Tim Duncan era."
