Meh, Butler sucks but he can at least hit 3s (shooting 39% over the past 3 years). I'd be fine with getting him for the minimum as long as Pop doesn't try to force him into the rotation and play him noticeable minutes. It'd be disastrous if they tried playing him as much as Belinelli, but if they just used him for spot minutes and insurance in the case of someone getting injured, Butler wouldn't be the end of the world.

Boozer on the other hand...absolutely ing not
Butler still has a big ego IIRC, he's going to want minutes..

    I'd rather just give 8-Head a shot..

McGee got paid a few years ago, and went straight to . Plus he's one of the stupidest players in the league. He's got skills, but it's hard for me to picture him playing for the Spurs.

I'd probably be fine with any of West, Seraphin, O'Quinn and Bass, tbh..even Jason Smith would be OK..

West is by far the best offensive option, but he's been declining on defense, as expected(old and undersized)..

Bass has poor on/off metrics, which concerns me, but I'm encouraged by how he looked in Boston's system, last year..

O'Quinn hasn't received enough minutes to really judge him, so it would be a flier..

Seraphin is a nice defensive player IIRC and he can score, but he's not a good spot-up shooter IIRC..
Unless West takes the minimum out of sheer desperation to try to win a championship, there's no way any of the names you mentioned will.

They should offer Williams' non guaranteed contract for Plumlee, who's now 4th on the Bucks depth chart at C. They'd probably be willing to straight salary dump him, given that they just did so with a rotation player, in Dudley.

Short of that, we're probably looking at the Freeland's and Aldrich's of the world.

Aldrich was a better than average assist guy last season (for a C), averaging slightly more assists per minute than Splitter. He also finished the season with a PER of 18.16. He'd be an upgrade from Ayres. If nothing else pans out, I'd be fine with him for a minimum salary...

Yeah, Aldrich for the room exception would be decent value if it came to that.

Min salary for a guy with an 18 PER, yeah we'd all be fine with that.

We need a big bruiser type.

West may be like a NVE 2006 all flair no substance signing.
who is left that can play real interior D?

This looks like a job for the Greek T-Mac, Vassilis Spanoulis!

How come I don't read more about Kevin Seraphin? Have I missed him signing with someone? I recall he took over the game when the Spurs played at Washington last season. He's defensive and mobile, French and cheap. What am I missing?

A S&T of COJO for Jason Thompson might work. No clue what Thompson makes. Brown loves Joseph

I'd definitely give Larry Sanders a training camp invite. It wouldn't even hurt to sig him to the vet. min. If he doesn't work out, cut him loose. Low risk, high reward signing.
