ESPN Analytics guy projects Spurs to win 66 games with the addition of LMA. Seems awfully high. I'll take the under, but wanted to see what y'all thought.

Yeah, under. Let's see how the roster is filled out first. Most wins for a Spurs team in the regular season ever was 63.

    Nope. 55-60 wins (I think)

CIA Pop will kick in again and we'll tank the last couple of games on purpose by resting half the team

We won 62 in 2014. 56 last season despite playing bad.

A lot of it will depend how we start, if we start hot we might be looking at 60+ games. Unfortunately I believe the Warriors and Thunder will also win 60+ if they stay healthy. Going to be intense.

ALWAYS take the under. You can pretty much make free money in Vegas, if you're smart, by taking strategic under bets on overall season wins. Over bets almost never work out, 90% of the chance occurrences in an NBA season are injuries.

I believe OP is referring to Kevin Pelton's RPM-based predictions...not necessarily what he himself thinks will happen, and it doesn't adjust for likelihood of injuries, Pop resting players, etc. Pretty sure it's just a model solely based on RPM.

60-62 wins would be great. Anything higher than that would require extreme luck and everything going our way. I'm personally predicting we'll finish around 57-58 wins.

60 is certainly not out of the realm. I'm going to say 64... Generous but I believe possible

That seems too high. We don't play for the regular season anyway.

Yeah this is what I saw. I don't have a link - it was just mentioned on the SportsCenter ticker/crawler on the bottom of the screen.

We we thought the West was no joke this year, but it should be insane next year. OKC if healthy should be back in the mix. Will the Clippers fall so far to be struggling for a playoff spot? And AD & the Pelicans will continue to improve.

The Clippers and Blazers will be worse, but basically every other team in the West is shaping up to be just as good or better.

Regardless of how tough the conference is, 66 wins is way too high of an expectation.

the best thing of getting lma is that we don't have to stress our players as we did in the last games of the season... the number of wins probably will be lower but certainly we wont end up under the second seed .. and that's the most important thing

Memphis will probably be the same or worse, too..did they add anybody that I'm forgetting?

They got Brandan Wright to be Koufos's replacement. I'd say that's a slight improvement considering their lack of offense. They also missed Tony Allen for about 20 games last year, and he's pretty important for them...so if he can stay healthy that'd be a plus. Not really high on him, but Jeff Green opted in, so they might be able to get some improvement there as they build some chemistry.

Overall I'd say they'll be about where they were at last year. 54-55 wins, capable of giving some teams in the playoffs but not a real contender or anything.

Under. If they get in the 60's you best believe Pop will be resting starters a lot.
