Seraphin is probably more skilled than West, right now IMO..his primary issue is low-IQ and understanding of playing team basketball, unfortunately..

Lolwut??
Yep..not a better player(not even close, probably), but more skilled, overall IMO..
Go to bed. Get some rest. Seraphin would be .lucky to ever be half as skilled as West is. A player like West is all skill at this point. You don't sign him because he's too old or isn't a good fit, not because he doesn't have skill out the wazoo.
West was actually one of the worst post-up/iso big men in the NBA, last year..
His only skill, right now, is spot-up shooting and pick&pop, which would fit perfectly with the Spurs, but he doesn't have much left outside of that..can't create his own shot anymore..
Seraphin has a lot of talent, just a low IQ player with no understand of team basketball, unfortunately..I doubt that will change, since it's tough to turn that around, see: Drew Gooden, but you never know, maybe having Parker/Diaw around could help..
I believe using the taxpayer MLE requires a hard cap at $4M over the luxury tax. That would be the penalty.

ESPN sources say Aldridge arrival in San Antonio will lead Spurs to lobby Ginobili even harder to play one more year. NEED him for depth now

So we await Manu's La Nacion column in Argentina revealing decision to play on or retire ... but safe bet is he gives Spurs one more season

Cavs considering a trade for Joe Johnson according to sources: espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id…
Shams Charania @ShamsCharania
Free agent Lou Williams has reached agreement on a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, league source tells RealGM.
Cavs seem so desperate
Lou Williams, gy P, and Kirby on the same team
How can they even afford him? Isn't he one of the highest paid players in the league?
Maybe. He's really clutch and is a good facilitator. He could clear salary soon too.
As much crap as he gets given his contract, I think he's a great fit on that team to replace JR's minutes (and then some). Good size for a 2 and another guy who can take load off Lebron for stretches.
FA after this year and would be resigned at a reasonable price afterwards. They're capped out anyway and it's not a bad pickup for the Haywood contract though need to throw in additional salary to make it work. Varajao is signed too long to make it worth it to Nets.
WTF kind of move is that? Swaggy P, Kobe and Lou is a disaster. Better to use cap space to trade for a crappy contract.
With Hibbert manning the middle...
Lou to LAL is ehhh, whats the point?
Joe Johnson to Cavs - Upgrade from JR Smith.
They'd have to trade Varejo and Haywood to get Johnsom. Joe makes like 24.8 million next year?
A trade involving Haywood, Varejao and scrubs/filler would work.
Johnson is a huge upgrade over JR, tbh..the knock on him has been his salary, he has been overpaid for like 8 years..
He would give them an additional creator that passes really well and can post-up, as well..
A healthy Cleveland with West and Johnson is the clear favorite to me.
Man, Dan Gilbert is gonna be paying mad luxury tax for years to come...
Not if Lebron insists on playing that awful 90s-style ISO offense.
Yikes.... Cavs look scary with Joe Johnson as an addition.
