LkrFan is good people but he's literally one of the stupidest people on this board when it comes to basketball analysis/takes....and this board has ducks posting on the regular....

Like I said, good dude but he's probably spinning that Hibbert + Lou Williams is better than signing LaMarcus at this point tbh.......
    Thanks classhle?

After the very strong start to FA signing Green and Leonard up plus Aldridge, the second half of FA would suck losing their depth. My guess? They fill those slots with capable guys and have a strong team. I hope anyways.
I hope so, too. But the Spurs have a ton of work to do. They better hope they can lure over some decent Euros.

I agree with part of that. I think they withdrew the offer because Joseph asked for it, just like Neal did two years ago. But the deal itself wasn't all that great, which is why the Raptors didn't engage the Spurs in a sign-and-trade. They only wanted Cory if they could get him for free. That's what I was annoyed at.

I wonder how much Joseph's even going to play for them, given that they have their starter and just drafted a PG who isn't a great fit next to Cory. Save for the fact that it's his home town, I don't think it's a better position for him.
But he's young, that's the saving grace until it isn't.

Only an idiot would go from a no state income tax team to a mediocre team in Canada with all its taxes...and I don't care if you're from that socialist country or not. Expanding into Canada was one of the biggest mistakes of the NBA. I'm glad Vancouver folded.

Come on man, he's new to basketball. Two years ago in Culiacan the only sport he had seen was gots kicking severed heads in between a couple of tires and then screaming GOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

Meh. It will be fine. They knew what they had to do this year and did it. Pop said it would look different. It does. Spurs kept the best pieces and will replace the others. Business as usual.

this. LkrFan should be called SprFan since he's obsessed with us. Word is that his mom was a mule while pregnant with him, hence the re ation. But he's a good person overall.

Didn't LouWilliams sign with the Lakers?

Hate to be the one to say it but the Lakers won't be terrible next year.

    Hibbert/Sacre
    Bass/Randle
    Kobe
    Lou williams/Nick Young
    Clarkson/Russell
Heres hoping Kobe just keeps shooting them into the lottery.

Losing depth is the payoff for maxing out an all star free agent.
Thats true, remember in 2011 some were laughing at the Heat and their depth chart saying they will have no bench when they signed Bron and Bosh? The Spurs are looking identical now around their stars, thin bench that needs some filling in spots. I am glad they still have Patty and Diaw.
Heres hoping Kobe just keeps shooting them into the lottery.
Oh he will, either that he will miss the year again.

yeah, taking the min without taxes works much better than a legit contract with taxes lol
