I read somewhere that the Spurs wanted to use Anderson as a point guard at times that's why I brought it up. Hopefully it's just summer league tbh to get him more comfortable, but he needs to play his natural positions of the backup 3 & at time the 4 when the season comes around. Well hopefully Parker can stay healthy this year and Mills and Manu (if he returns) can cover for him if he doesn't. At the same time who is going to back up Mills when the Spurs are on a back to back with Parker and Manu sitting unless we sign a third point guard, which I hope we do. I think you can find some good defensive point guards in this league, Patty Mills is a perfect fit in our system so I rather have kept him than Joseph.
It will be interesting to see how they round up the roster. I think watching the Summer League this time around might be more rewarding because you might get to see some talent that might fit those needs for pennies on the dollar.

With the LMA move, we're officially a top-heavy team. We won't have the depth we had the past 3 seasons, but we have younger legs that can play more minutes and have much more experience under their belt (LMA, Kawhi, Danny), and so, I think we'll be ok.

What's a natural position? Pretty sure he played point in college because that's where his coach felt he fit, more, well...naturally. Not saying that it will work in the NBA, but he does seem a natural for it. He may not work at the 3 or 4 either, and he's anything but a natural shooting guard as indicated by all the laughing at his shooting form.
He's a 3 or 4 in the NBA, tbh... actually, we'll see if he's even that... hope he works out.

Kyle Anderson is best suited as a point-forward. imo It's what he played in college, the D-League, and what I expect him to play in Summer League. If he shines in his opportunities this summer then he might be considered for a spot in the rotation as a facilitator in the second unit. One step at a time. It starts in summer league though. For young players on the Spurs, that's where it starts. If he can't do a good job in Summer League then how will he do it in the NBA. So this is his shot for an expanded role otherwise he's a spot player for Kawhi; he will stand in the corner and be asked to hit the spot up three.

According to his height. I'm just saying that he's a natural point according to his skills and instincts. That position is most natural for him. Bobby Hurley agreed, for sure. Again, that might not work for him in the NBA, and he may have to adjust and find a spot elsewhere, but he's a natural at the point. I wish him well wherever he gets minutes. He's fun to watch.

I agree, but usually the more featured player tends to get paid more..

If the Spurs get West and Manu comes back, that's the best 10 man rotation in the league easily. Don't think we'll be top heavy then tbh.

True, tbh.... just don't know how they're going to fit all the salaries... but in PATFO we trust...

Nah, Tim will (and should) make more than Gino, tbh... but I think Gino is gonna take more than the vet min... that is, if he doesn't retire.

It's just that there's so much that needs to be signed right now, and on top of West and Gino, we need to round the roster, that's more min salaries there...

I'm just glad I'm not the one that has to juggle all the numbers...

They took care of the hard part tbh. I trust RC/Pop to bring in competent min. guys to round out the roster.

It's a nice problem to have tbh
