Not overpaid, but just feel between him and West the RE should've gone to West. For reason stated above by in2deep
Don't worry. The Spurs will take care of West next season when they have a boatload of money given the increase in the cap and the retirement of Manu (and probably Tim).

Hopefully you're right the guy earned nothing but respect after pulling off what he did this summer

EDIT: right about the paying West back part You won't see me complaining if Tim & Manu don't hang them up

What does Manu's contract means in regards to Patty Mills?

I assumed Manu would've needed to take less money for Spurs to keep Mills no? Just looking for clarification....or is Patty still signed with the Spurs through next summer?

Eh, I disagree. Manu gave up plenty. I say take care of your own, before you take care of a new-comer. Just my opinion though.
Let's see how you compare Jim's to LMA's

Spurs should have give that money to west, manu should have been more kindly to someone who gave up 12mil contract to join the spurs...
Yeah maybe that way they could have convinced West to sign with the Spurs oh wait

I can picture it now, backs up, waits for the shot clock to get down to 8 seconds... Dribble dribble shoots 3 from 26 feet
Hey, we all remember when Parker tied Game 6 by doing that...you don't have to remind us.

Easy for me to say, but he should have taken the vet mim. Rook exception could have been used on someone else.

Tim Duncan is clearly the player who left more money on the table to help the Spurs, and right after him, is Manu Ginobili.
I donīt understand the complaining here, you prefer to reward someone who gave you nothing instead of someone who has consistently help you??
Thatīs not the message you wanna send West, Aldridge or anyone, you want to show that you reward those who sacrificed first.
Letīs not forget that West is not doing this FOR THE SPURS, but for himself, he wants to winand the Spurs are his mean.
