The awkward thing is that Duncan/Aldridge are the only 7-footers in the rotation, and they'll both be starting. (I'm assuming that Bonner and Ayres are not regular rotation players.) Diaw and West are both 6-9 guys and will both be coming off the bench. This means our starting unit will be big and the bench will be small.

However, I would expect a lot of mixing and matching of starters and bench players. First, West/Diaw will come in when Duncan goes to the bench in the 1st quarter. Presumably Aldridge would stay in the game longer. Then when he goes to the bench, the other of West/Diaw will enter. This small lineup might stay on the floor for a few minutes, until it's time for Duncan to come back into the game. If balanced correctly, the Spurs can avoid being small for most of the game.

At least that's how I do it in NBA 2K.
The assumption is that Duncan will be the starter all season long. I don't think thats necessarily the case.

Lots going on in this post. You'd be an intriguing person to meet if you weren't so ing dark three quarters of the time.

A brilliant mind you have Dale, but it's dark.
Kind words, Aggy, Thank ya, kindly.

West used to be one of the better defensive pick and roll players in the league, but that was back a few years. He has lost a step due to age, but hope the rest and an improved defensive scheme and help him out. Using Green and Leonard and the defender on the ball handler in a PNR will allow West more time to slide and defend the screener.

I still worry about quick guards though, players like Curry and Paul will cause the Spurs trouble.

On the other hand, West and Aldridge would be almost be impossible to defend on the PnR themselves. Both can shoot, West can set amazing screens (Aldridge not so much), and with Parker hopefully getting back to form somewhat, and Ginobili's craftiness, the pick and roll will be back for the Spurs. Now it's who can pick and roll the other better.

But, it ain't over-over. You have to actually win the last game played in June, have 'em stringin' your ropes, sellin' your . Then it's over-over. Baring that? You'll stand before this company and take what's comin' to ya. & you'll do it naked.

This is the excuse you pussies have been masking for years. Goofey is 7ft, 250. If his sorry ass cant guard the likes of Howard, Gasol, Hibbert, Chandler, and Jordan then he should quit.
    In your dreams.

Not much to analyse really, he's the perfect fit between Kawhi and Duncan.

Duncan just had four 20-10 games and 6 double-doubles in just one round of playoffs, plus he is a shot-blocker and all-NBS defender. He actually played better than LMA in the playoffs last year. Duncan just fine.

That wasn't the question, stop moving the goddamn goal posts Philopino.

    Center in the West

Gil is in the West, and he's the center of Amy's attention.
