I'm not talking about the occasional damn or even s word. But the constant gratuitous cursing out of anyone with a contrary opinion. I'm thankful that my kid isn't a Spurs fan enough to be on this forum because I'd have to explain why they can't log on or visit this forum.
Spirited debate is one thing. Cursing out someone because they disagree on how good/bad a player is? It's too much.

Personally, I write the way I talk. Many times I actually remove profanity from my posts. I'm not sure why people think kids don't hear profanity or speak it themselves. If there aren't a half dozen reasons not to want your kid on Spurstalk aside from profanity then I don't really know what to tell you.

This site requires thick skin, and for respect, good posts and opinions. It is the relative wild west in terms of moderation (or lack thereof). I have posted infrequently, but visited daily for over a decade. It is unique as far as basketball discussion communities go, and I am thankful it exists. Feel free to put some posters on ignore if they offend you, but bring your opinions and thoughts, and enjoy yourself - or simply lurk or leave.
