Why is there cursing in almost every single thread?

This forum has been here for more than 10+ years and it existed before your kid was born. It's not going to change and has always been like this. You can go somewhere else and your mother some more while you're at it.

I'm not talking about the occasional damn or even s word. But the constant gratuitous cursing out of anyone with a contrary opinion. I'm thankful that my kid isn't a Spurs fan enough to be on this forum because I'd have to explain why they can't log on or visit this forum.

Spirited debate is one thing. Cursing out someone because they disagree on how good/bad a player is? It's too much.

I don't use profanity myself except in moments of genuine anger or pain. But...my 12 1/2-year-old son plays online games. I doubt there's anything on here that he hasn't seen already. (I have signatures turned off, though, both for bandwidth and family safety reasons.)

You mentioned the "s word" might be okay occasionally. Does that include variants, like " head", "dumb ", or "eat the peanuts out of my "?

And is it the word itself you object to, or is it the meaning that is off-limits? Example: I assume you would object to being called a "pussy", but is "vagina" okay?
