He's legitimately the worst defensive player in the league. Definitely not worth 4 years/$70 million.
I know, but those are some efficient numbers.

Tough pill for OKC to swallow. Its gonna push them high into luxury tax.

Yeah he has a really nice offensive game. If he was even simply a "bad" defender and not one of the worst in the league, he'd be a really great player.

As he is now, I really don't get why OKC wants him so much. They already have Westbrook, KD, and Ibaka...that's more than enough offense right there. If I have Westbrook and KD, the last thing I want is some post-up heavy center who's only use comes from scoring. Seems like it'd make more sense for them to get a center who can defend/rebound at an elite level and doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective.

I think what OKC needs is wing defenders tbh. I don't think teams need defensive centers anymore. I mean they'd be useful but GS just won it all with a 6'8 power forward as their best defender.

Ehh, basically every top team last year had a center who was pretty well above average defensively.

    Warriors - Bogut
    Cavs - Mozgov
    Grizzlies - Gasol
Clippers - DJ (he's overrated and not DPOTY-caliber, but he's still really good on that end)
    Spurs - Splitter/Duncan
    Rockets - Dwight

The Nets announce they've rescinded Mirza Teletovic's qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

I wouldn't mind Teletovic. He missed the 2nd half of last season with blood clots in his lungs, which could knock his value down a bit into our price range. If he plays like he did in 2014, he'd be a great fit. Shot 39% from 3 and is a very solid defender. Can play as a 3 and a smallball 4.

Some of have said that OKC needed a low post game to advance in the playoffs, something Kanter can give them. With Scott, they just ran ISO Durant or Westbrook.

I'd prefer that over Butler (C or R).

Well, we do need a 3 point shooter at the wing, but health may be why they let him go.

Teletubby would be a great pickup for the Spurs if healthy, tbh. Big "if" though. And I doubt he'd take a pay cut to play less minutes.

Wouldn't mind Teletubby. It would be funny to pick up all the Spurs killers from last season.

    He's a 4 not a 3 right ?
We already have what we need at this position...
    Seems like we should shoot for a 3 or a shot-blocking 5

Any young player under 30 will be out of the Spurs price range. Unless that players is very close to getting kicked out of the league.

I'll take Austin Daye for the minimum.

So Presti is willing to sign Kanter to a max contract but he wasn't willing to sign James Harden to a max contract?

Most overrated GM is NBA history.

I think it is all talk.... I don't think he'll sign Kanter. Kanter isn't even a starting center on his team.

The facade finally slipping on him..I don't care if he plays owner card, the wasting away of potential West dynasty happened on his watch..
