David West will think its a Hibbert redux.
This dude is 2 inches shorter than Yao Ming
David West will think its a Hibbert redux.
We needed a backup Center badly. Hopefully he can give us something. Hopefully post-defense against bigger teams like Memphis and the Cavs if nothing else. Low risk, high reward signing.
in a super tall lineup, Leonard can be our offguard
he will devour them all
we got a perfect offseason boys
The Mavs are probably kicking themselves. They need someone like that against the Clippers
im reminded of that movie, draft day
we seem to have that kind of season
Pop finally getting his Serbian players to speak Serbian to.
Is RC picking up the phone now dialing James Silas to see if he is ok giving up #13 for this dude?? lol Doubt it.![]()
Looks decent for a guy of his height. Obvious Spurs had a master plan in the works and skillfully maneuvering through it.
I know Pop's ancestry is Serbian but does he speak the language?
best offseason in the history of the Spurs
now get T Prince and thats it
Awesome report. Thanks!
Tayshaun Prince seems perfect to round out our roster right now
That is why it is a one year deal. After seeing Baynes get 7mil you know his agent is telling him he can get 10mil plus if he puts together a season like he just did in Europe.
I thought he learned/used it when he worked in intelligence.
BEST frontline on the planet, yes, how do you like that
I know he knows Russian. He may have picked up some Serbian from his relatives... who knows.
Wow people are really going to harp on his ears. This is really happening.
Maybe? I don't know.
Marjanovic was a big time prospect when he was young. He dominated a player like Ajinça when they were 18 years old. He went undrafted because he was awfully slow and in poor shape. He worked a lot on his body over the years to reach the level he is today.
It's a really nice gamble for Spurs. He isn't just a big guy, he is a talented basketball player. If he can adapt to the rhythm of the NBA, he will be a huge steal.
i think the Spurs super tall frontline shall be the perfect counterpoint to small ball, imo
Regardless, considering the 4 bigs in the playoffs rotation are probably set in stone, you probably couldn't do better for a 5th big/situational big..
Last year's 5th big was Bonner/Ayres, for instance..
His post defense is pretty good, especially at his salary.
It's his help defense that suffers because of his speed. But he will defend Memphis types pretty well.
And will DESTROY Big Baby.
He is such a step up from Baynes on offense.
every system has its flaws, even the small ball fashion nowadays
THE FORCE MUST HAVE BALANCE!!
