they'd probably lose to kentucky
Nance Jr got mad hops....so does Jordan C. .....
Clarkson and Randle looks really good. I wish we have Tariq Black in our roster, that guy does a lot of things that doesn't show up in a stat sheet( setting up picks, boxing out etc). Russell looks awfully slow, I know he's not known for his athleticism but that #20 guy keeps blowing past him with such ease.
Huh? you got that from that video? Russell wasnt impressive in that footage but I didnt see enough to gleam that either. HE actually stays in front of him (#20) when he tries to drive at one point. Russel actually has a nice vert but doesnt play that way he is actually a good not great athlete but plays a ground game.
I wouldnt annoint Randle or Nacne either. they showed flashes but prrof comes in the regular season.
Funny thing is I hear spurs really liked Nance Jr.
Cotdamn Kool...you guys could probably make the playoffs with your summer league squad, tbh...
The Lakers future is most definitely looking bright. Very good core of players, like what they had a few years ago.
Isn't it crazy when you think about it? The Lakers pretty much have an entirely different roster from 2 years ago, so if they miss the playoffs again this year with all these talented players, I would say that the blame falls squarely on the one constant - Kobe.
Rip all that ball movement when 48.5 steps on the court.
Stop it we both know Lakers aint making the playoffs. Why must you always over-estimate this team? Oh I know ...agenda.
If this team wins 35-40 in a stacked West that will be over-achieving. Kool needs to chill and you need to stop with the obsession. So many better stories than Bryant this year. I just want to see the young kids develop.
The Lakers became 7th seed with 4 HoFers
2 HoFs gone, Kobe and Pau remains - Missed playoffs
Pau gone, Kobe remains - Missed another playoffs
Now you've got star rookies, with players who knowledgeable Laker fans are deeming as phenomenal players, including two lottery picks joining, there is no way a roster with that will miss the playoffs. Unless .....
Just stop. Every non homer and smart poster has the Lakers missing the playoffs. This isnt about Kobe because they would miss the playoffs with or without him playing. Just stop, Amb. Enough of this . I dont get the obsession at this point ..Kobe is done. Here you have a legit, really good team to enjoy the faves in the West. Lot's of great stories ... why are we STILL discussing Kobe?
BTW, what dumbass, over simplistic analysis no context just agenda ...some of your worst trollin tbh ...
No ..... you can't be serious. You mean you don't see the Lakers making the playoffs with an all-time great like Kobe on the roster? How could that be?
You know how les are used to gauge the greatness of the lead player? Well, missing playoffs should deduct from the greatness of the lead player then, no?
How can a player get all the glory (winning les) and none of the blame (Missing playoffs)?
And why not discuss Kobe? He is going to be the highest paid player in the league next year (is there anybody else?).
TOP DOG
11/4 San Antonio Spurs 3/1 Golden State Warriors 11/2 Oklahoma City Thunder 17/2 Los Angeles Clippers 9/1 Chicago Bulls 16/1 Houston Rockets 25/1 Miami Heat 25/1 Memphis Grizzlies 28/1 Atlanta Hawks 40/1 Dallas Mavericks 40/1 Indiana Pacers 40/1 New Orleans Pelicans 40/1 Milwaukee Bucks 50/1 Toronto Raptors 50/1 Washington Wizards 50/1 Los Angeles Lakers 66/1 Boston Celtics 75/1 Detroit Pistons 100/1 Phoenix Suns 100/1 Portland Trailblazers 100/1 Utah Jazz 100/1 Brooklyn Nets 150/1 Minnesota Timberwolves 150/1 New York Knicks 150/1 Sacramento Kings 150/1 Denver Nuggets 200/1 Charlotte Hornets 250/1 Orlando Magic 250/1 Philadelphia 76ers 250/1
Vegas has the Lakers as 9th in the West.
SO rings do matter now right? But only if they are the lead player, right?
so if Kobe was not the lead player and MVPAu was according to you repeatedly (dont make me post the evidence) then wouldnt all the losses be on Pau also?
Dont try me Amb cuz I know you and your bull . I wont go down this path with you because this team is in a rebuild and I could care less about Kobe's legacy right now in fact have at it with Kool if you like ...
My only issue is stop acting like this is a playoff team I told you this was a 25 win team max last year and right now without seeing the rooks if feels like 35 40 ...max if they stay healthy and get lucky.
Team is much to young. Relying on so many rookies and old injured Kobe they will not make the playoffs and Kobe wont move the needle much either way if he plays good or bad.
Try focusing on hoops when you respond to my posts and save the drama for Kool, please.

Dude you got my name in your mouth way too ing much back the off is all imma say...1st warning
LOL two things.
1. No I wont back off. I didnt say anything wrong. You enjoy talking Kobe with these dudes and battling them on this so I told him to go to you with it. Wasnt choosing sides or calling you out or speaking negative in fact it was out of respect but if you dont see that or are feeling oversensitive about it ... kiss my ass but I'm a grown man and will say what I feel. Plus you do realize this is your thread I was responding to something he wrote to you initially ...you do get that right?
2. I am focused strictly on the rookies. Love Kobe's game all he has done for the team but I am not in protecting his legacy right now I only call out amb on his agenda driven bull . Because now he is putting unrealistic expectations on the team to fit a Kobe agenda ...I was just speaking on the rooks who I do feel a need to protect like one of the kids I coach ...

That's about right. I say 10th but it's not like the teams at 8/9/10/11 have much separation.
You got it reversed buddy. I am not saying les matter, I am saying IF les matter, then missing playoffs should matter as well.
Which one is it? Playoffs and les matter, or do they not matter?
I knew what you meant and also what you have said previously I can post your comments about win shares etc. But like I said above ... I am done discussing Kobe. I just dont like you sucking my rookies and young guys in to your ...you can talk about Kobe all you like. I think my last Kobe defense I gave to Brazil ..I just dont care about him enough right now to defend him. focused on future and present not past
I am praising your rookies man! What is wrong with you?
It's damned if you do and damned if you don't here.
I guess I will focus on the art of reading your mind or something, I just don't know why you'd be so upset with me praising your Lakers.
Great rookies, veteran leadership, and one of the greatest players off all time on your roster, how can you possibly miss the playoffs?
Your sarcasm game is like your troll game ...
Yea AMB is one of the more ridicoulus Kobe haters on the forum. I mean I hate Kobe don't get me wrong, but I'm not gonna pretend the guy isn't an all time great. I'm fine with him being anywhere between 8 and 12 on an all time list, have him around 11 or so myself. Can't really justify him being much higher than 8 though.
Lakers have a decent young core, I don't think Clarkson is as good as people think though and I am not sold on Randle yet. Alot of how they do depends on how good Russell actually ends up being and if Kobe will let the young guys develop. I think anywhere between 30-40 wins sounds about right.
