Is Ledo a free agent?
Going to be a fun game
Nvm, for some reason I thought he was on the Mavs roster.
Get to see Porzi and Grant the first game. We're probably gonna get dominated. Interested to see how Porzi does though.
Good call Ellsworth!! The best called shot I've seen in a while!
When will we know if Simmons will be on our SL team?
First game is tomorrow at 3:30 central...so we'll probably know pretty soon.
Bruno Caboclo looked pretty good. Probably not a reach after all.
Rashad Vaughn looked like a chucker as advertised.
Minnesota and Lakers SL teams look pretty stacked compared to out teams.
Spurs next game vs Bucks:

What happened to Adam Hanga? I thought he was going to play in this years summer league?
Yeah, I live in the Salt Lake City area, so I was excited to have the summer league back this year. The crowds were amazing for the 3 days, with 10-12 thousand people at each of the three sessions. Add to that the fact that the teams were praising the way the Utah summer league was run, I have a feeling it's going to stick around this time. As one of my friends who lives here says, "Why would you draft a 19-22 year old, give him millions of dollars, and then send him immediately to Las Vegas?"
Looks like the Raptors have some advanced international scouting too. Nobody saw the Caboclo signing. Wish the Spurs were the only ones doing this, but their expertise has spread throughout the league.
Lakers SL team should look stacked. They literally have up to 6 players who project to be on the main squad this year - several of which could be seeing quality minutes.
That doesn't speak to the strength of the Lakers summer tram...it just speaks to the weakness of their regular squad tbh.![]()
Somewhat true.
28 Black , Tarik C 6-9 250
6 Clarkson, Jordan G 6-5 185
7 Nance Jr., Larry F 6-9 230
30 Randle, Julius F 6-9 250
1 Russell, D'Angelo G 6-5
12 Upshaw, Robert C 7-0 258
These are the players that look to project to being with the Lakers this upcoming season. It's a big chunk of their team.
Lakers have main squad:
Kobe
Hibbert
Brandon Bass
Lou Williams
Nick Young
Sacre
Ryan Kelly
Yeah, he was supposed to come. I wanted to see him. We needed someone like him. Slasher, defense, athletic, but Simmons already looks better than Hanga. So, not missing seeing him. Maybe he was even told...no soup for you...we're signing Simmons, so he backed out or they backed him out.
What is the International Clinic? What does Messina do there?
Kyle is the 4th leading scorer in Summer League, behind Cotton, Curry, and Hopson.
Bryce Cotton is top 3? Whoa...good for him!
Scotty Hopson looks like I decent player:
Cotton is averaging like 28 ppg
- Scotty Hopson
Basketball player
- Brian Scott "Scotty" Hopson is an American professional basketball player who last played for Laboral Kutxa of the Spanish Liga ACB.Wikipedia
- Born: August 8, 1989 (age 25), Hopkinsville, KY
- Height: 6' 7" (2.01 m)
- Weight: 204 lbs (92 kg)
- Salary: 1.388 million USD (2014)
- Education: University of Tennessee
- Number: 24 (Cleveland Cavaliers / Small forward, Shooting guard)
6'10" wingspan and 36" vertical leap.
Strengths: Hopson is a former top 10 recruit and shows very good talent offensively … Is a very athletic SG with nice explosiveness, leaping skills and speed … Smooth player who has prototypical size and length from the SG spot at 6’7 202 with a 6’11 wingspan … Had some impressive scoring performances against some top level teams and improved his aggressiveness and polish some leading into his Jr. year after playing for the U.S. Select Team the summer prior … Has a nice shot, with soft touch…Beautiful form, good elevation and a high release…Very good spotting up, but also solid around screens and off crossovers…Has NBA range spotting up and is consistent from as far as 22 feet off the bounce…Has good raw ability to put the ball in the basket…Shows a nice step back that he likes to utilize off the dribble…Shows the ability to make mid-range pull up shots…A capable slasher with a very quick 1st step and excellent body control…Shows the ability to finish shots in traffic around the rim…Lead his team with 34 dunks on the year, which is a testament to his athleticism and finishing ability…Very good in transition…Has instant offense potential off a team’s bench
Weaknesses: The problem that plagued Hopson more than anything was consistency…Will have an explosive scoring game and then follow it up with a very quiet game where he lacks aggression…Is a below average ball-handler, and the ball often slows him down when he’s dribbling…Gets his pocket picked more than an NBA caliber SG should off the dribble…Doesn’t move without the ball as well as you like when plays aren’t called for him, and stands around far too much around the arc…Feel for the game and polish are underdeveloped for a guy with his experience…Was more aggressive as a Jr. looking for his shots, but sometimes showed poor shot selection…Plays poor D, especially for someone with his athletic and physical tools…Won’t get a lot of steals, lacks awareness off the ball and also falls asleep on-ball…Lacks energy on this end….Doesn’t close out on shooters with urgency…Although he added some moves, he still can be predictable at times offensively…Teams are questioning his mindset in interviews, and seems to be giving unrealistic answers about the type of player he can be…Wasn’t a leader at Tennessee when leadership was leaded most
Overall: Hopson has undeniable offensive talent and nice athleticism, and it manifested itself with some explosive games over his career. He still lacks a bit of polish and plays too lax on the defensive end. His interviews with GM’s have drawn criticism as well. Still, Hopson has upside as a scorer off the bench similar to a Von Wafer of the Celtics.
