This guy will be a steal if he can just adequately fill in the minutes that Baynes had in the rotation.

Even the Aussies are applauding this move.

    Baynes?

    Who's that, mate?

Red Star just got lucky this year. Everyone know that the true good team in Belgrade is Partizan and that Red Star is the small one. They also don't have a great coach like Vujosevic...

Oh and it's just some fun little welcoming trolling. I'm well aware of the historic rivalry between Partizan and Red Star and what team was the best this year. Welcome on this board.

Jeez, I feel like o and Mihailovic will show up any minute.

I don't care what team this guy is on -- he can play.

Full game of him against "baby shaq" Sofo: http://youtu.be/fa8RRToHF3I
I usually try to be optimistic but if the first 15 min of this is an accurate portrayal of his game, he has some major flaws. He will never do the jump ball that's for sure lol. Gets lost defensively, needs to learn to set better picks (can be taught).

All in all, we will have to wait and see. He has tools to work with but they're mostly offensive. I really don't feel like offense is what we need from the 5, though. We need a rim protector and I don't see that

I like the signing, because he isn't going to get many minutes, and we need a backup center. I think he's a little soft, though(classic gentle giant.) When he's boxing out, getting held, he shows no fight or aggressiveness. His height and length is rare, so he's gotten used to putting up layups weak because he doesn't have to jump that high. I wish he'd go up high to get the ball, and not let the rebound come to him. He'd be a beast rebounder. His pick and roll defense (quickness) worries me. The athleticism in the NBA is going to be a problem for him.

And for the good. Boban's size is ridiculous. If he can be more aggressive and get position(he's ripped at 290lbs), that's a deuce all day. His footwork is good. He has great hands and passes well. He doesn't panic in double and triple teams. I am impressed how well he runs the floor. It's fluid and he has speed. His post defense isn't great(doesn't block shots often), but his size will bother some bigs. Thankfully this league doesnt have many elite post players.

Overall, as a fifth big, it's a great signing. He has a great coach and Duncan to help him out this year where he's going to have trouble in the beginning. Refs, opposing players, and coaches aren't going to show him much respect, and will try to show him up. I hope he can contribute at a thin position, but we shall see.

    Correct.

This is maybe the worst game of whole team last season, but it's true that Bobi has a lot of problems in defence.

Second true is that his defence is much better last season than season 2013/2014 and with Pop it will be much much better.

I hope that you have patience for him, because Bobi has a work ethic, space for the progress and he is very good person (if thats important to you).

It's not logical to me that you chose Bobi for the defence because his biggest quality is at the other side of the court.

    Sorry for my bad English.

Why is everyone pissy that hes not Anthony Davis?
But but but hes got weaknessesssssss!!
NEW FLASH Capt Sand In Vagina the Spurs are severely flawed roster
We have PG who wont pass & escorts opposing PGs to the basket, A SG that cant walk & chew gum same and our prize FMVP & DPOY winning SF plays as if he doesnt remember how talented he is at times
But PATFO have defined their roles to continuously put them in positions when they can contribute & be successful(some more than others)
I could mske my wasy down the roster but im sure we all get the drift
Bobi has size which u cant teach and plays well with it
PATFO obviously see his weakness as we all have and didnnt think enough ofn them to believe he wouldnt be capable of filling the role THEY have in mind for him
    Stop being bratty
Waaaaaaah, but hes not Hakeem Olajuwan Waaaaaaaaaaaaah
    Shut the entire up

Man, you describe him with 100% accuracy, and better than 90% fans of Zvezda would describe him, despite the fact that they were watch him every game
And I'm kinda surprised that you conclude that he is gentle giant, because he is.. one of the nicest guys off the court..

I have no idea. I think the front office is still working on a trade or fishing at the bottom of the barrel for another shooter. Just gotta love these Spurs players though. They trust Pop and RC that a deal is in place. It's just taking a little longer.

Boban will not be asked to shoot three pointers, bring the ball up, guard power forwards or small centers.

His sole purpose is to mess with the bigger centers, and lay six fouls on Howard, Jordan, and anybody else who can't shoot free throws. TIMVP use to give us player grades on a curve based on their expectations. On most nights. Marjanovic will grade an A based off of expectations.

Sweet. Now they can get the other signings worked out now that he is local. Assuming his league has approved his transfer to the NBA.

...and that exam couch is way too small.
