Lucas is one of those guys where we don't know if he truly has an offer.
But I think he stays on the West Coast, so it doesn't really matter as a Texas fan.

Update on LB Dontavious Jackson of Alief Elsik (24/7):
“I’m very high on Texas,” Jackson said. “I’m not going to say they are the leader because I don’t have a leader. But Texas is definitely going to be one of those schools that is going to be there until the end of everything.”
“It was pretty cool to get to hang out with the guys on the team,” Jackson said. “I chilled with Malik (Jefferson), DeShon (Elliott) and P.J. (Locke). It was really nothing new since I’ve been to Texas a lot. It was more of a bonding experience. Everybody was really cool and welcoming. It was a cool visit.”
“I already talk to Coach Strong twice a week,” Jackson said. “We always have great conversations. Most of the time we don’t even talk about football. We’ve talked about everything from the Charleston shooting to the NBA Finals."
“He really does feel like a father figure. I don’t have a father in my life. I’ve actually gone my entire life without a father, and Coach Strong is always there for me when I need him. We have such a great relationship.”
Quotes from LB Jeffrey McCulloch of Aldine Davis (24/7):
“I talk to Coach (Chris) Vaughn, Coach Brian (Jean-Mary) and Coach Strong all the time,” McCulloch said. “I also talk to Coach (Vance) Bedford here and there. I really like them all. I feel like I can fit in under Coach Strong. I have no problem with his discipline style. I think it would be a good fit for me.”
“I’m looking forward to visiting for Under The Lights,” he said. “I plan on hanging out with Coach Strong and the rest of the coaching staff and getting to know them even more. I’m also looking forward to watching film and seeing how exactly I fit in."
“They want to go to more of a 3-4 defense, but they don’t really have the personnel for it. The staff said that they really want to get me and a couple of other guys. They see me out there as an outside linebacker.”
DE Erick Fowler from Manor discusses where UT currently sits with him (24/7):
“I talk to Coach Strong and Coach Bedford almost every other day,” Fowler said. “I really like both of them. I really have a belief in them and what they can do. I like the way they run the program and how they are disciplined.”
“Texas is my No. 2 school right now, so yeah, I’m still interested in them,” Fowler said. “What I really like about Texas is how they develop players and how they turn them into men. I feel like I’m a type of player that can really help their program.”
“I’m really looking forward to getting up there for the camp,” Fowler said. “I want to see the hard work the coaching staff puts in and how they grind. I really want them to show me that everything they talk about is real. I want them to tell me why I should go to Texas.”
FWIW, Inside Texas mentioned this morning that Park hasn't spoken with TCU and there doesn't seem to be any interest from UT.
Scout also said UT is not interested.
Looks like he's headed to Navarro JUCO.
We didn't need four scholarship QBs with two redshirting this year and six scholarship QBs in 2016.
That one doesn't make much sense for UT, imo.
He has to sit a year and you're bringing in two, possibly three QBs for 2016 (Buechele, Merrick and maybe one more).
I think he'll stay in the SEC West, though (Bama, Ole Miss, etc.).
The aggsy class is looking pretty bad, I know they like to make fun of the Texas class for being ranked 57 or something like that, but seriously, we have 3 4'stars and 3 3'stars. They have 4 4'stars and about 12 3'stars. Now if Texas only takes 8 to 10 kids I see their point, but we are taking about 20 to 23 kids and we are in good shape with a lot of pretty awesome players. Not to mention I wouldn't be surprised to see Texas get a 5'star QB in the next rankings.
I know aggsy like to think they made the right move to the SEC but for a bunch of fans who are always searching for respect, they won't be getting it anytime soon if they think they can just trot out a bunch of 3'star turds and win 10 games. Even with their ty non-conference they still have to find a way to manufacture 6 conference wins and i don't see that happening any time soon.
