Probably the best player on the D-League champion team last season. Dropped 31 on Austin to eliminate them. Decent all around game.

It pissed LJ off that no one knew how to spell his name properly, so if you didn't spell it with the second t the word was replaced by Luck_the_fakers_Luck_the_fakers_Luck_the_fakers

Hey, this guy looks like a hall of fame shooter.. Shot .714% on 3s last year for Utah. On 1.4 attempts. :-). Seriously, if this is the same guy that has played for Portland, Philadelphia, NO and Utah, why would the Spurs look at him? Agent courtesy? Friend asked a favor?

If they can make a silk purse out of this sow's ear then all the other teams in the league should just shut down their scouting teams.

E.L.L.I.O.T. Williams was a pretty damn good prospect before knee injuries in college. If he's fully recovered finally, he may be worth a hard look.

But, really, I prefer the Spurs get a SF and he's definitely not that.

I still think Dorell Wright is the best option available, but I haven't heard a single word about us being interested in him or in talks with him. Hopefully CIA Spurs are at work behind the scenes.

Some people's trash is somebody else's gold. Danny Green was cut bu Cleveland (ok, that's only one team), and look where he is now. Gary Neal was undrafted and look where he is now.

He is a very quick slasher guard. He can pass well too. I'd say he is quicker and more explosive than Simmons. He stood out in the warrior d'league team that wins championship last year. Very dangerous in transition. Defensively gambles too much imo. He is smaller than Simmons. With McCollum and Simmons in the team, he might be redundant, by you could get away w Simmons as a SF and him as a SG, for limited minutes. I Still think KA is going to emerge as a backup SF. Williams is more like Manu than Simmons though.

I was a fan of his before injuries ruined him forever. Shame cause he had a lot of potential.

Remember this kid coming out of college. The year he was drafted there was actually a rumor the Spurs either made him a guarantee or were very high on him.

So Spurs have been rumored to be interested in Elli0t Williams, John Jenkins, Chris Copeland, Rasual Butler, Caron Butler and Tayshaun Prince. While Spurs are for sure looking at a wing shooter, they kinda struggle to find the right one.

Williams is not actually a shooter, more of a Slasher right? HE reminds me of Austin Rivers, has that quickness and size kind of.

Good analysis and precisely why this is almost certainly due diligence more than anything. People get excited every time they see a player linked to the Spurs, but if a player is not their type or doesn't fill a current need, then it's either due diligence or their agent trying to drum up interest.

I'd say there's a 99.99% chance that whatever wing they bring in, is a knockdown three-point shooter.
