So how much exactly West gave up after the taxes difference between the two states being calculated? I want to donate him the all amount...
Hard to calculate since you would have to take each state that he plays a game in and calculate what the state taxes are for that game check. He has to file a state tax return for each state that he plays a game in that has state taxes.

Wonder what's taking so long for West/Manu to officially sign. Everyone else is signed already and they're over the cap now, not sure what the hold up is

I would guess it's just some schedule issue. West might come to SA to pass his physical and he might just be on holidays right now. There is no rush to sign him.
Manu should be lost somewhere in the pampa.

Damn, what a deal getting him for the minimum. Spurs made out like bandits on this contract.

Is there gonna be a press conference or is that frowned upon for vet minimum players?

Hope he has a bit more luck with it. Porter was one of my favorite players with the Trailblazers, the goofy-looking mother er. He did alright with us, but by that time he was so slow, he'd get eaten up by Kobe in the playoffs. It wasn't until we got Parker that suddenly that problem was solved.

I can't ing believe the Spurs got David West. They hugely upgraded their starting lineup and their bench this summer, and with Aldridge and West here they can give all three of Duncan, Aldridge, and West plenty of rest in the season.

On sale now. I don't see many of these flying off the racks though considering the length of his contract.

It's going to be nuts what his impact will be here. Dude averaged nearly 12 and 7 and was the main frontcourt target for Indiana. They ranked 24th in PPG, and he gets to feed off every weapon the Spurs have . And with the added motivation knowing he has his best chance at a le now? It's gonna get ugly for opposing defenses.

Usually when these kind of superteams get put together they have no bench, but damn the Spurs have some depth this year too. Unfortunately the other two superteams in Oakland and Cleveland have pretty ridiculous depth themselves. Crazy that any of these three teams would enter the season as le favorites most years.
