Can you imagine a lineup with: Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, LMA, and Duncan?!

Nope. Durant is too much of a pussy to play for pop. He will only play for a coach and organization that constantly kisses his ass. He wont get that here.

It's financially impossible I'm afraid. The math doesn't add up. Beaides, he is in the lebron, cp3, John wall mind frame of thumping chest after every basket. Not spur like

Yeah... that's why it's not going to happen.

Seems to me Spurs are in the range to sign a max player (or close) each of the next 2 years when the salary cap explodes:

2016 salaries: $68 million (not counting Duncan $5.6 million which I guess is guaranteed even if he retires?) Include $3 million guaranteed portion of $6.5 million to Diaw. Cap projected to be $89 million. Better case here is get one more year out of Duncan and save cap space for 2017 when...

2017 salaries: $66 million. Diaw unguaranteed $7 million, Duncan not on books. Cap projected to be $108 million. This would probably allow us to get a third max player to pair with Leonard + Aldridge (& Green).

I have my doubts as to whether Durant will ever regain form due to the Jones fracture. He will still be a good player but not what he was before. It's interesting that you don't hear much about that when you hear the media discussing the upcoming Durant Sweepstakes.

Durant's a SF like Kawhi, and isn't strong enough to guard PFs... what position would he play?

He can backup Kawhi (Assuming he can beat out Slomo for the spot!)

I'm sure Kawhi could find a comfortable seat on the bench or we can just be super long with Durant at the two.

Hope we can get him resigned for a couple more years by then. By then his game will have probably slipped to where ginobilis was over the past couple years so we will need a starter but Tony could still be solid off the bench.

Sounds like a lot of parity in the league. We are as flush as we will ever be in history! Not looking forward to the Durant hullabaloo next summer. He's done a lot of commercials and not much basketball in the recent past.

Durant would be dumb to leave OKC imo. But if he did, it won't be for SA. It'll likely be Washington or LAC.

Kevin Durant, league MVP..... lets not pretend Kawhi could ever be the player Durant is . This doesn't mean we dont like Kawhi.

I could see him going to LAL.... it's only a matter of time before they land a guy and especially if some of their young guys show promise....they could land Durant and another good player. The money will be there.

I like green in our starting lineup. Don't think DUrant would fit as well as green at all.

Are you joking or not? With Durant we would be literally unstoppable if healthy.

A Durant max contract would start at about $31 million.

Leonard is a better overall player. Durant is superb offensively but is insignificant on the defensive side. Durant's durability is questionable. Plus Durant has the me first team second mindset. Implying that comparing Leonard and Durant is laughable is itself laughable.
